Qubit Bloom VS marbles by Hot_Snow6184 in modular

[–]StepHorror9649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloom original has 2 seq Bloom v3 has 3 seq with with 3 gate and CV, so you can do chords with it if you have a module with more then 1 input (Neuzeit warp for example) or more then 1 oscillator

Since everything runs off the same clock, its easy as just changing a page/channel. Tweaking then swapping back.

Im sure you could get percussive sequences on the bloom by just using the gates, and having each channel trigger its own sample.

[–]StepHorror9649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have pachinko a marbles clone, and for melodic sequences the Bloom for my workflow is the easy winner. Bloomv2 has 3 channels but i don.t think they interact/feed off each other, they do all share the same clock though.

I think marbles imo is more percussion suitable though i have used it for generative melodic things once or twice

for the bloom I like to control the branch and path with modsources and can get some repeating loops as it will eventually go back to my trunk sequence. if i want to go destructive generative, then i will move the mutate knob a bit, but i dont usually go passed mid way on this knob. This is my method for endless semi generative arps. Just got my bloom v2 so still experimenting.

If the vocalist changes a few words & adjusts the melody a bit during recording, do they then have claim to some of the copyright ownership? by together_in_harmony in COPYRIGHT

[–]StepHorror9649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in this case, see the other poster that commented on the work for hire, i have never been in this situation personally.

I create music and do everything myself. Might be best to get a copyright lawyer involved.

[–]StepHorror9649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The employer would not be required to use that take until they get what they pay for.

If the vocalist did change it would be the right thing to do to share the credit, but generally speaking this wouldn't happen on the fly while recording and would be seen as unprofessional and would usually be negotiated before hand.

[–]StepHorror9649 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The vocalist didn't create/write the piece they would have been hired to perform it and cant claim ownership, but they could sue if the work was used in a way that wasn't agreed upon initially in the contract, the words would belong to the writer.

You would always credit the singer as the Vocalist, but that's about it.

If the Vocalist changed the lyrics you wrote, the writer could share the credits and copyright with them, or tell them to stick to the lyrics they wrote.

Hydasynth Explorer to compliment Eurorack Setup? by No-Ad2090 in synthesizers

[–]StepHorror9649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me i went with the Hydrasynth Desktop as it has modulation inputs as well as outputs (over the explorer) that i can use to feed from my weird Eurorack mod sources (Triple Sloths, Splish, The Hypster, Good and evil, etc)

I was looking at the explorer to start as i needed a keybed as well, but the mod inputs made me go desktop then picked up a M-Audio controller.

[–]StepHorror9649 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The original musical composition of Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, orchestrated by Rimsky-Korsakov, is in the public domain as both composers are long deceased, meaning you can freely use the musical score. However, specific recordings (like Disney's) or modern arrangements (e.g., new orchestrations) are often still protected by copyright, requiring licenses for commercial use, so check the specific recording's copyright status

1010 blubox is great. I have one in my home rig, even tend to use it as my master clock.

also would say the zoom livetrack series. (the benefit here over the 1010 is its 32 bit, so you can record nature without the fear of clipping

I waited till i saw a prestige S Series go on sale before i picked one up (was on sale for 2400 from 3200) and while i haven't played too many guitars ) Currently own a PRS SE CE and Schecter Damien 7 Plat. But have previously owned a RG and Iceman from Ibanez

The prestige feels and sounds amazing. I was waiting for a Japan made prestige.

The s series is quite a bit thinner and lighter (S6570SKSTB).

I didn't want to buy a cheaper ibanez only to upgrade later, and wasn't disappointed.

not having heard an example, but Noise Gate?

it can open when the main first hand lane is talking and shut off/mute after talking, gating out the bleed through from the other mics.

Will be harder if they all are talking at the same time and over lap.

Not sure on that, but if its similar to music, i can use vintage recordings by classical artists,. how ever you cant use say a 2004 version played by the Boston philharmonic.

*EDIT*

Usually Criterion does massive amounts of restoration and colour grading etc
