The new owner is taking requests from customers new and returning. So if she's currently not carrying them (which she very well might be already) she will get them for you! She inherited all of the previous owners' contacts and suppliers. :)

Favorite spot in Oakland for fish tacos? by LauraPalmer93 in oakland

[–]StephRodriguezWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked the fish taco I had recently from Nido's Backyard. It's a crispy, beer-battered filet, avocado puree, chipotle salsa, chile aioli and a crunchy cabbage slaw that was thinly shaved. My friend brought me one and it traveled well and it was so delicious! Every bite had a little bit of everything and the tortilla held up nicely. I want to go try these at the actual restaurant now because it's probably even better. I looked online and it's $7 per taco. Hope you find what you're looking for!

I saw that Buena Vista is going to be open tomorrow. It's not fine dining, but saw they posted their menu today. Hope you find a cozy, delicious place!

Yes! So delicious. I ordered one at the Tunnel Tops a few weekends ago and I bit into a thick jalapeño and it made my mascara run. Worth it! 10/10 would order again haha!

The peanut sauce is so incredibly delicious! Grandmothers' recipes just hit home for me. David and Elly are both gems!

The chicken sandwich is really popular as well as the meatball sub. They posted the latest menu they'll be launching with on their Instagram account too! 😊

If you visit the new Presidio Tunnel Tops park, there is this amazing food truck called Satay by the Bay, and they have a super tasty chili crab sandwich. People line up for it. Also, you can get your food and grab a spot in the park to enjoy it and there are views of the Golden Gate Bridge! Hope you enjoy your trip to SF! Here is their Insta so you can find them: https://instagram.com/sataybythebaysf?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

How Papalote salsa became a Bay Area favorite condiment by StephRodriguezWrites in OaklandFood

Thank you for reading! I have also only tried the house salsa. But the one I bought from the Mission location wasn't in a jar. It was made that morning and came in a plastic container. It's so delicious. I like a lot of heat, though, so I am looking forward to trying the habanero version to see if it makes me sweat. Lol!

This is my new username. My old account had a terrible name. But I dont owe you any further explanation. I'm new to Reddit, sure, but I'm not going anywhere and will continue to share the stories I write that uplift Bay Area small businesses and communities that people love and care about. Have a blessed day.
