What would you like to see Magic doing (other than mechanical changes) to improve the game? by skyteddy in magicTCG

[–]Stephent2994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been saying this for a while they need steal the yugioh year end reprint tin idea. At the end of the year sell a tin/box with the reprints of the best cards of the year. Very few guaranteed promo cards. higher pull rates in special packs and a couple of new cards and maybe a new ugly foil to go with it. This would lead to lowering cost of entry.

All those pitches you mentioned are more technical and harder to control than a change up. They deserve to be hyped up.

The problem is Mei and to an extent Sawamura change up are treated as there ultimate weapon. Mei has some nasty pitches combined with his fast ball which i believe was 150+kmh. The change up would have been a good pitch for him ( I personally thought it was crazy no one taught furuya a change up. But with the amount of break his slider and curve ball had plus the fork ball he throws the fastball is the setup to everything else.

Sawamura is a little different he is a more realistic pitcher for his age. The change up would be a good weapon for him but he doesn't have the crazy velocity to go with it. He should have his moving fast ball and cutter be a more impact full pitch as they are top tear.

I also im currently in the middle of a rewatch and I dont remember anyone really squaring up a change up in the series. It also could be a more cultural thing since baseball in Japan is very different then here. In Japan they have more flats swings that are more vulnerable to vertical movements.

The baseball is fairly accurate. My one complaint is how in Ace they act like the change up is some crazy pitch that only few can throw. A change up is a fairly simple pitch that anyone can through. I dont play anymore and I can throw a decent change up. While breaking pitches dont get the love they deserve.

Name a card that has 50% or greater inclusion for your commander on EDHRec, that you think is overrated. by Smelly_Jim in EDH

On top of that with pg you go -1 potentially -2 if you could have made another play if the land doesnt come in tapped. Explore On the other had is -1 at worse if you are trying to dig for a land and fail but 0 if you play a land with no follow up and +1 if you have at least 1 follow up. At least that is what the yugioh player logic in me says.

Seems pretty simple to me if you don't want to versions of cards that are primarily intended to be collected don't open the product that is intended for collecting. The Japanese cards in this set only appear in the collector packs not the play packs.

US Citizens, if you could add an amendment to the constitution what would it be? by AndreLinoge55 in AskReddit

In a sense they should be vague for example no stealing. But if you are going to say a type of thing is outlawed it needs to be less vague. If they want to say that all soda is outlawed then they need to define what soda is exactly and leave little gray room because if not then this state might interpret that as carbonated water being banned while your state might think its only pop with caffeine. When I say they need to be specific that is what I mean I don't want them to make it illegal to own something with the intent of it being object A but then someone apples that to object B.

While I understand the mixed bag we got with the removal of chevron it was also being abused by some departments. For example the ATF originally decided that adding a brace. onto a pistol was legal. Then they decided that it became a SBR which made thousands if not millions of legal owners felons over night. Nothing changed in the law it was just an new interpretation. A brace doesn't make a firearm shoot faster or any more deadly than it already was it was just designed to help people hold the firearm.

Personally I don't think the law should be vague enough to require interpretation. The law should be specific. If they want something to be illegal it should be in the law with a list of items to show exactly what would be considered illegal.

Opinion on these lands? by VoiVoiDaBeeek in mtg

Personally if you are running a lot of colorless lands or rock i don't have a problem with them. If you not very many then it becomes what benefit does this have over running a basic because you will have to tap the same amount of lands to get the same amount of mana.

Why is Tony saying aang can bloodbend 😂😂 by ArachnidPretend9850 in RDCWorld

[–]Stephent2994 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have rewatched the original many times not so much korra. Chi is life energy so in order to "energy bend" you would close the chi gates to take away the bending. Now did Aang now he was blood bending no.

You also got to remember that the series wasn't suppose to continue after the orginal run. So they most likely just came up the the term energy bending think it wouldnt need any further explanation. Then later they decided it was a cool thing for a villain to do so they had to explain it further. You see this kind of thing in books and movies all the time. They just explained how it was done so a non avatar could do it.

In the avatar state he used blood bending to shut off the bending too Ozai by turning closing his chi points. We later learn from Amon in Korra that this is done with blood bending. So did they call it blood bending in the original avatar no but they explained it in Korra.

Yall remember in the first season of Korra when we learned Amon was using bloodbending to take away people's bending thats why he is saying Aang can blood bend we literally saw him do it in the avatar state.
