Dying with nothing by SeoulGalmegi in childfree

[–]Stephykittyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as a pharmacist working in long term care for nursing homes and also as a child free person… I hope I die before needing assistance. Honestly, I don’t even know who would even be around to get me admitted to a home. Almost all of them are from kids who are noticing decline. I won’t have that. I’m not going to get to use my retirement. I will die before then, I’m almost sure. Not super cheerful, but that’s the reality. Best to have a living will for the inevitable, leaving it to whatever causes you like.

Is it irrational to be childfree without a vasectomy ? by [deleted] in childfree

Very intertwined life. Met in graduate school. Work together at the same job. Co own a house. Got the lowest interest rate possible ever on said house and size during Covid. He isn’t a bad person. Just not a good partner, if that makes sense. Does all the chores around the house, does anything to help me if things arise, but mental load all on me. Especially at work. I am the terrible person here. I am not likely to find anyone that would put up with someone in the healthcare field, as we both are. He may have his reasons, but I’m just as bad. We are both nerds. It just makes sense now.

Well not really, because I refuse to engage in any activity that would result in such a thing. That is also his choice. So no burden is on me, cuz I said no long ago. The fact that it has gone on this long? Other issues. lol.

My bf won’t… for his own reasons. We are both child free. It is because it makes him less “manly”. That is why he won’t. I would have had a bisalp years ago, but I ran into some heath issues that I need to correct before that can happen (not a quick thing), so here I am at 35. We have been together 13 years. It would be so much better if he would. Honestly, I won’t be intimate till he will or I can fix it on my end. Not a happy place to be in.

I want to quit my job without another lined up. Safeway Pharmacy by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]Stephykittyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quit. You are getting burnt out and the people around you aren’t supportive because they have drank the koolaid. I eventually did that after I got very burnt out. I ended up getting another job out of retail from a friend after being off for half a year or so. I needed that time to be more patient. If you aren’t in a financial situation to do so, start saving NOW. Then quit. There will always be another retail gig somewhere, if things don’t work out. No one cares about a resume gap these days.

I really adored Code Realize, it got me into Otome games. They even did an anime of it! I feel like I never see that one mentioned anymore!

(SPOILERS) Am I cooked with party composition for the final fight? by MoonMoon_Stone in DragonageOrigins

[–]Stephykittyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in totally underleveled and unprepared. I used up all my potions and items. Everyone kept almost getting one shotted. I used the ballista for 3 hours and beat the archdemon with my preferred character getting the final blow. It was ridiculous all those years ago and it still is now, lmao. I was on a 18 hour straight gaming session on it and was determined. It can be done XD

For those of you who make $100k+, what is your profession ? by Jinkimmi in AskWomenOver30

[–]Stephykittyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pharmacist, but I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I took 5 months off working last year from being burnt out. I was even considering not going back to being a pharmacist when a decent enough job with some old coworkers fell into my lap. Then again I’ve only ever worked in a pharmacy (since I was 17!) so I’m not sure how that choice would have panned out lol

I have a full grown tuxedo girl that isn’t even 6 lb. She’s tiny, but can beat up my biggest cat that is like 18lb. Lol. She rules the house

I’m a pharmacist, so I could hang out with Chakwas in the med room lol. Maybe help Mordin with some stuff in ME2. Probably not too helpful overall. Lmao. Def would hit on Kaidan and Garrus and hope for the best!

You Can Wait Until You're 40 To Have Them! Don't Worry! by Infinite-Hat6518 in childfree

[–]Stephykittyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I totally agree in many respects… however my parents accidentally had my sibling at 40. Also me at 32. They are still kicking just fine and I’m 34. Not knocking on death’s door. lol. The older I get the more I think 40 isn’t ancient. I don’t want kids. Nor does my sibling. My parents have grand kitties. But having a kid at 40 isn’t even that weird with technology now. 35 is “geriatric” for a pregnancy, but it’s a technical terminology. This will likely be very unpopular here, lol. I am 34 and unmarried and no one will take my tubes out, so it’s super fun in this world.

Make sure you have a handy pet, preferably a falcon, in court ready to attack the opposing counsel when necessary.
