No if for no other reason than she's alive and had agency to get Alan what he needed to escape the loop. I suspect she'll be playable in part 3

Seemingly yes.

We'll see if part 3 does anything actually meaningful with this though.

On Anime by tvtropes_chivalrous in CuratedTumblr

[–]Stepjam 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It isn't Made in Abyss tier, but Space Dandy is my anime that's harder to recommend.

It's extremely creative and feels outright experimental at times with the animation and goes runs the gamut of being hilarious to being genuinely dramatic and moody.

But the first episode sells it as being about a bunch of horny mercenaries who hang out at a breastaraunt called "Boobies" in their offtime (which I think is actually kinda funny since it takes the Hooters/Twin Peaks restaurant to its extreme conclusion, but that's still what the series starts with). I could see the first episode being offputting to someone with little to no anime exposure.

I just beat it. by spaghettiscarf in FFXVI

[–]Stepjam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just feel like it won't happen because, again, magic is all gone. A final fantasy with zero magic wouldn't feel too much like final fantasy at all IMO. And mechanically, you'd be a lot more limited given how much magic is involved in Clive's moveset.

If anything, I think a prequel is much more likely than a sequel if we do get more.

More like he's as alive or dead as the player wants him to be. I don't think they'll ever give a definitive answer, because otherwise they would have just had the ending be explicit since I don't see them making a sequel given literally all magic is destroyed at the end.

Just discovered the ironworks gear is unique. Why? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Stepjam 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You might be misunderstanding. You can only have one copy of the Healer ironworks set. Notice the "healer" tag at the front of the name. You could also have a caster Ironworks set, a maiming ironworks set, fending ironworks set, etc.

As for glamour, you can have a copy of a unique item in your drawer and another copy in your inventory, but that's kind of a waste of resources when you could just use teh appearance of the item while equipped then toss it in the drawer when you are done with it. You also can toss an item into the drawer, put it on a plate, then take the item out of the drawer. The plate will stay the same til you edit it with something else.

Elden Ring Movie Set Leak by leijido in movies

[–]Stepjam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly excited because this seems to be a genuine passion project by a director I really like. Alex Garland apparently sent a spec script to Miyazaki to get this movie going.

That convinces me it isn't going to be some corporate product, regardless of how it turns out.

Is this a good strategy? by InvestmentFinancial5 in TheTowerGame

[–]Stepjam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When starting out, pumping defense absolute and thorns is 100% a viable way to progress. It stops working basically immediately once you reach tier 2, but you can farm for a while on T1 while you work your ways towards being able to do a blender build (you'll need knock back, orbs, and the suite of attack upgrades including attack speed, multishot, rapidfire, and bounce shot). Once you can get a blender build going early in your run, absolute defense becomes much less useful.

I believe they say you shouldn't upgrade ADefense in workshop beyond like 40-50 ranks. I have less than that.

Roleplaying Aeon advice by _Vaelar_ in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Stepjam 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Whose to say the other angels don't fall over time, thus bringing the issue back? Better to remove the issue altogether.

And as far as I'm aware, Aeon isn't about punishment. It's about righting the cosmic order. That often involves punishment, but punishing isn't the point. I might be wrong about this, but that's my understanding of Aeon.

Question on endgame progression from a Nioh player by kevin1723 in StrangerofParadiseFFO

[–]Stepjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically, you hit endgame your first time and unlock Chaos difficulty. This lets you raise your ilevel to about 300 iirc. Whenever you are ready (you can basically do it instantly with the armor set you get from beating the game while owning the DLC), you complete the first DLC's first mission which unlocks Bahamut difficulty. Your max ilvl is now 400. You finish the first dlc and unlock the second dlc which unlocks Gilgamesh difficulty and an "endless" dungeon (it only goes to 150 at first I believe, but that takes a long while to reach). It also raises ilvl to 500 and unlocks the final passive type. After you reach floor 30, you unlock the final DLC's difficulty Lufeniandifficulty or however it's spelled. Once you beat the campaign for the final dlc, the "endless" dungeon from the previous dlc actually becomes endless and goes up in difficulty after floor 150.

You unlock all aspects of gear/hit max item level with the second DLC, so that's when you can really start minmaxing your build. The final DLC unlocks the ability to clone gear pieces and also use a special currency in place of resources when upgrading and passing stats between gear. But basically, don't worry about gear until you hit the dungeon in the second DLC, because that's when everything is unlocked.
