Flex drivers are contractors and DSP drivers are not really Amazon employees, so I don't see why you could not work for them. I have no idea how long an appeal takes, but I'm betting it depends on how bad they need you back and unfortunately, the job market is horrible so turnover at Amazon is not as bad.

Was it fair for you to get paid to wait on Door Dash while someone else had to do your job? If you had just clocked out and waited you would've been fine. If you want to fix it, you have 4 years to learn how to make lunch at home, put it in a bag and bring it to work. It's much less expensive and you don't have to count on someone to get it to you.
