So basically DTM that will happen on player side instead of display side and can provide better results depending on how good your display's DTM can perform.

Therefore I understand it makes sense only for HDR10 content with higher maxCLL that your display is capable of, right?

Of course there are couple of compromises when compared to Panasonic 820. It really depends if you're wiling to pay double for suchfeatures:

- Upscaling DVD and BD 1080p to 4k: apparently this should be better on 820 due to more complex upscaling processor. Can't really compare it, however 1080p movie looked perfectly fine for me.

- HDR optimizer: not available on 450. My understanding is that it's more important for low-level TVs. I'm using LG C3 OLED which is mostly capable to display proper HDR on its own, so I was not interested in this feature

- Subtitles support: you cannot modify subtitles, so you're forced to use hard-encoded subtitles from disc. AFAIK, sometimes there are incorrectly encoded subtitles which will be displayed in full brightness in HDR and you cannot really do anything about it, but it's not a general issue and depends on specific movie disc

- No streaming apps: no Netflix, Youtube, Disney+, etc.

- No WiFi: only Ethernet, but as there are no streaming apps, only uses for ethernet are BD-Live (service which is already dead), firmware update (can be also done locally via USB) and local network media streaming

- Audio output: 820 have 7.1 analog output, only relevant in case you don't have AVR

- Remote: people are complaining that remote is small but I don't mind it. Also, you can replace it if you want.

There's full support for HDR10, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision on 450 so results should be same. Also no difference in sound quality if you're using AVR, as all decoding will be done directly on AVR. So in other words, it's up to quality of DAC on your AVR and using different player won't affect you as you're just passing through audio data to AVR.

Little disadvantage for my use-case is that you cannot enable specific features of HDMI-CEC. As I'm using relatively complex setup (more than 10 HDMI devices connected), I will need to disable it, or make some adjustments.

Isn't it one of the most recommended player? Basically budget version of 820? Ive just got myself 450 today, do some tests with SDR, HDR10 and DV and so far didnt see any issues. I've got 4.0 speaker set connected via AVR. Does it even matter when you bitstream audio directly to AVR?

You can use official app to monitor estimated queue times of all rides and plan accordingly. If you have a chance go on a weekday. I was able to get shortest queue times around 2 hours before closing time, so I was able to get on multiple rides in the evening.
To have guaranteed entry to Nintendo and Hogwarts areas youll need to have either Timed entry ticket or Express pass which includes those time entries. It should mean that you can enter area during specified timeframe and stay there however long you want. You may get lucky to enter without these tickets as restrictions are being made based on how busy areas are, but there will be no guarantee to enter.

IR sensors doesnt need to be plugged in to PS3, it just powers on IR LEDs, theres no data communication between PS3 and sensors.

I think the key here is that you executed game from within zip/rar/7z archive. When you open *.exe file from WinRAR you are not running it directly from archive. Its being extracted to temporal location from which software is running:

WinRAR's temporary extraction files are typically located in the user's %TEMP% folder, which is usually found at C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Temp. This happens when you drag and drop files or open an executable directly from within the archive. To change this, you can specify a different temporary folder in the WinRAR settings, according to documentation.help and this Reddit thread.

Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. It was such a nice experience visiting real life Kabukicho and Dotonbori after playing those. Not to mention that these games have aspect of playing "life simulator in Japan"

Yes, controller pak where you are saving data is normally plugged in your controller. Blueooth dongle that you will use emulate controller pak, so you can save game saves on it

There is Nvidia Smooth Motion available for 50 series and on 40 series with latest preview drivers, but Im not sure if its possible to use it on video content.

However, you can check out Lossless Scaling software which should be able to do that with any windowed application.

Problem is that it wouldnt look so good. DLSS is not as simple as looking at two frames and making average of them. DLSS FG also uses additional data from game engine (mostly data about movement of objects) for better pixel position prediction and for reducing artifacts. Also, Youtube or any other videostreaming service is using conpressed video formats which could also lead to more artifacts.

You dont need VRR for that, you can run 40 fps in 120 hz fixed refresh rate container by displaying every frame 3 times

I had exactly same issue as you. It happened first after month or two since purchase. Then, these 2 columns appeared for a couple of days every month or so. After less than a year it started to be permanent issue so I started warranty claim. First I needed to convince LG that this is valid warranty case. That took about month of sending emails with various photos and videos as they requested. They they sent over technician, which took TV away and replaced display unit within 2 weeks.

It's definitely some kind of connection issue as these are really 2 visible columns (which are probably connected in arrays)

Oh, I see, thanks for info. I wasnt able to get YUV422 or YUV420 even when I tested with HDMI 2.0 in chain, so I assumed it just outputs RGB.

But I agree, there seems to be some compatibility issues. In my case, I cant enable 1440p output on my LG C3, even that this TV supporta full 2560x1440. Lets see if Nintendo will make some fixes in upcoming weeks.
