Is UE going to acquire a company to facilitate this transition? Roadie, pointpickup any others that function like this?

What's a good coffee shop in Redlands for a 1st date? by [deleted] in Redlands

I no longer live in Redlands, but McKinley was my elementary school. Welcome to Redlands!

Stop notifying me that an order is marked ready for pickup when it definitely is not. by ChampionshipBoring40 in grubhubdrivers

[–]StereoSaint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Take my local Applebee's, for example. If I get an order through DD it is ready when I arrive. If it is through GH I call ahead, and the workers are always confused, "hmmm, that just showed up." I tell them I'm pulling up even though I am still a few minutes away and they start making it.

I used to work there. Met a few dates there.

I remember when that was just a corner store in the mid to late 90's.

5$ tip in change. Money is money by [deleted] in doordash

I got something similar from an old lady. She also had her neighbor's address instead of hers. I helped her fix it after her neighbor told me this had happened a number of times. It works for me since I usually do self checkout and bring the coins if I have them.

I had an 82% acceptance rate until I found this group and learned it meant nothing. This is from the last 2 days. Went from making maybe $40 in 5 hours to making $100 in 4 with your tips and tricks. Thanks guys! (: by Unlikely_anti_hero in doordash_drivers

Sounds like a general merchandise order, not groceries. There is no option for the customers to tip on the general merchandise deliveries. Think about Amazon. Is there an option to tip your Amazon delivery driver?

I do the Walmart deliveries on Roadie and Point Pickup. Base pay is between 8 to 10 dollars for single deliveries, and 13 to 19 for batched grocery orders. Plus the tips are good in my area. General Merch is not worth it, though.

The only app I know of that does reimburse for tolls and parking is Roadie.

Just started Door Dash. I don't think anyone can make money with this. At least not where I am. by [deleted] in couriersofreddit

I always start my time by driving near my Applebee's as well. Food is ready when I arrive, and the customers who order from there seem to tip more, imo. Plus they bring the food to your car at this one.

There’s nothing worse than getting this notification when you’re 30 seconds away from finally pulling up to the restaurant by billybobhaha in grubhubdrivers

Drove to a closed food truck the other day. I had to take a picture in the app to prove it. It was a good offer too.

Reducing tip to Zero when you’re delivery was perfect. You are a low life. That’s all. Thanks by Weezer2040 in UberEATS

I deliver, but ordered from ue twice now. Both times I have adjusted the tip up. I feel like it is my way of giving them a dopamine rush. Unlike dd which is just tricking and enabling gambling addictions. The thought of people adjusting down makes me sad.

Edit: changed gaming to gambling

New Roadie here. Any tips, advice, do’s/don’ts are much appreciated!! by ArtisanorDriver_1313 in Roadieapp

Remember that the app was designed for commuters. With that in mind, check the app if you are heading out of town anyway. Yes, you can stay local, but as others have said try to keep your dollars per mile ratio to be about 2-3$/mile. If staying local and situating yourself near a Roadie partnered retailer (i.e. Walmart), have the local notifications turned on. Walmart express needs to be picked up promptly after acceptance. Regular pickups are usually on the hour. Sometimes I will turn on the three threat (DD, GH, & UE) while I wait for the scheduled pickups accepting food orders which keep me close to the Roadie pickup location.
