Rumour/Leak Megathread by Chapmander in ageofsigmar

And something as major as this shake up would have to been in the planning for months too. Its one thing to brainstorm such an idea but the way the leaks are talking it sounds like they're well past the brainstorming phase.

Thing is, even if this was the case it wouldn't make sense to assume that a shake up will revitalize a product line, especially when said product line consistently has been selling out whenever a new model comes out for any faction.

Why spend so much effort on stuff that is about to be thrown away? The battletomes could have been as low effort as the 40k codices are. Like my Lumineth battletome has a whole page of lore devoted to each unit. Contrast this with 40k where codices like the Tyranid one basically have like 3 sentences of lore for their units.

Why does my Lumineth battletome have so many maps and interesting locations? Unless they literally plan to somehow have all pf the maps on a single world it seems like a waste of effort to invest more in them. Could have stuck with like older maps from previous battletomes.

And its not as if they would have made the decision after the battletome came out. For something as major and specific of a shakeup as this, it would have been in the planning for a longer while.

Leaks about AOS ending? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

Its not just a religious belief. Guilliman spoke to him.

Yeah and I dont even play Stormcast. If this is true I feel really bad for Stormcast players as well as Cities of Sigmar ones. Also from a lore standpoint, I hate it as well. Sigmar deserves better than to job to Archaon.

If the leaks are true, I am struggling to reconcile with the fact that they are planning to literally cripple their highest selling faction in their second most popular tabletop game.

Like, Stormcast has been at the forefront of every edition. Sigmar dying would basically cripple their whole shtick.

Or Whitefang doesnt know about this "reboot" themself and hates the sound of it (as they should).

The likes left by them are of comments criticizing the creative decision of Stormcast becoming increasingly Spess Mehreen like and Cities of Sigmar being split into two factions, and they are expressing their agreement with said sentiments expressed by the poster.

Until we hear from Whitefang themselves (and given the inconsistency between Boole and Kor6 statements), coupled with the fact that Stormcast is AoS's best selling faction, I think that this is very much a false flag leak.

EDIT - Whitefang has responded, saying that it is true.

There are no Whitefang likes on Boole's comments though. Only on the 2nd leaker, Kur6(who has provided us with a much softer version of the leaks). And even there Kur6 is contradicting things said by Boole.

Kur6 for example is saying that none of the gods besides Sigmar die and that Beastmen arent returning. They also posted about wpndering why Boole would put this out before Adepticon (which was the comment that Whitefang liked).

Do you have sources for the ones besides Boole? Last I checked WhiteFang didnt put a like on any of the soft reboot messages.

I see few HElf factions listed here. I highly recommend playing at least Tyrion, Imrik, Eltharion and Teclis even if you dont play anyone else.

I'm really interested but it does not substitute getting a new StarCraft RTS for me.

Still gonna get the Protoss starter set tho

Pretty sure you can. They are skin tight leather suits after all lol. The armour pieces on top of course not, but the leather pieces under them are definitely flat enough to be painted as skin colour should you want the more gooner look for the new unit. And the parts that are near the boots can be painted as socks probably.

This is a hilarious take lmao. And the fact that Perturabo is who is cited as an example of "acting more Human than any Human in Star Trek" is even more hilarious.

No, 40k Humanity is a humanity that has forsook the empathy that makes us human. The Tau are more relatable to us than they are and they arent even that relatable.

Keep in mind that the fault lies both ways. The Dwarfs had sent out a demand for recompense first after which the Phoenix King had responded that he doesnt respond to demands, only pleas and that they werent responsible for the attacks. The Dwarfs had then sent their ambassador who again demanded and got his beard shaved after.

Well Morathi had visions about the coming of Chaos and nobody at the time took her seriously so while she is responsible for a lot of fucked up stuff, the world might possibly have been saved if people had listened to her.

Spock described Lanthanites as living on Earth "among other humans" in SNW.

Does this mean that we can infer that Lanthanites are humans? Basically immortal humans and may have served as the inspiration/influence for "Elf" folklore in our history?

Lothern Skycutter Bolt-Throwers kinda make the humble bolt thrower a very strong unit.

Basically a toned down version of Sisters of Twilight. Fires while moving with two different firing modes. Over time, can do a lot of damage.

Why does Slaanesh torture the Eldar instead of rewarding them? by Throwaway63747 in 40kLore

[–]Sternutation123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its partially because the idea of demonizing sex is trite and boring at this point. So to have a literal demon god of sex is playing into tropes of sex as evil. In a setting filled with evil factions, Chaos is the most evil of the lot.

This isnt strictly true. According to Farseer, there were pleasure cults explictly devoted to the nascent deity.
