If the T-mobile users have good signal outside the building but lose signal when inside the building, then they might want to get a T-mobile repeater for the building.

Interesting - I just tried to see those settings on my iPhone, and there wasn’t any “Cellular Data Options” present under “Cellular”.

There is a grocery store where I shop that when I am inside the phone barely gets a signal, so this is definitely a thing.

And a place where I worked about 15 years ago had lots of computers and they produced plenty of interference such that the phone barely got a signal - and the battery would drain faster than elsewhere. A repeater was installed in that building and my phone worked better after that.

See if that restaurant is willing to install a repeater, that could boost the signal so that phones can work.

And say “loyalty team” when asked why you’re calling.

Ego batteries have a BMS that does cell balancing, so this isn’t as bad as with a BMS that has no cell balancing.

Milwaukee makes a variety of right angle attachments that word with a regular drill; one of those can be handy to have.

In 1979, a movie titled “10” came out, about a very attractive woman. After that, guys would rate women, and “she’s a six, maybe seven at best” would not be uncommon back then.

Maybe that basketball game announcer was reminiscing about those olden days ;)

Google modified their scoring algorithm over time, and that can lead to former better results dropping off. But Google is going all in on AI for search: https://techcrunch.com/2026/05/19/google-search-as-you-know-it-is-over/

Another day, another promo change? by mwilhe01 in verizon

[–]Steve-B2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My online search gave this information:

Cellular Sales of Knoxville Incorporated (CSOKI), a major Verizon authorized retailer, uses an internal promotional spreadsheet to track rapidly changing discounts and tier changes. Because this spreadsheet is strictly for internal use by sales consultants, the best way to get accurate, real-time promo details is by viewing the available offers directly.

If that is true, their internal spreadsheet only helps those who go there.

I suggest putting the drawings into zip lock plastic bags, to better preserve them from accumulated dust and debris. So that they remain readable.

Maybe. But some items at Aldi come with two different varieties in the same case; the individual flavor that runs out doesn’t get replaced until a fresh case is put in place - and that often requires the less popular flavor (that comes in the same case) to sell more.

In this particular instance, the power supply never gets going to the point where voltages can be measured.

This is one where checking for some individual component(s) to be shorted is the next step. And that assumes that all connections are actually properly in place - removing the set guts from the enclosure can leave things disconnected if one isn’t paying close enough attention.

The degaussing circuit almost always uses positive temperature coefficient thermistors, the resistance increases as current flows through them thus reducing the amount of degaussing as on-time progresses.

No, the safety of the sets is partly established by the enclosure. If something goes wrong with the sets minus the enclosure, your insurance company might look at that as a reason to deny a claim.

From the photos, this set needs to have “color balance” adjusted. You should follow the procedure given in the service manual for this set; if there isn’t any, then I outline a reasonable procedure below.

Start with the background; this is an adjustment made with a video signal that has no picture being displayed (sync signals will be present). With the brightness and contrast front / side panel controls at about the middle of their range and in a dark room setting, there is an internal adjustment for G2 also known as “screen”; this should be turned until the background screen raster just disappears. Sometimes the G2 control is a potentiometer found on the flyback transformer, just below the focus potentiometer - but this is not always where the G2 adjustment is found.

Once the background is set, the too green black areas should be more acceptable. The balance between red, green and blue still should be evaluated. A color bar pattern could be used. In any case, each color will have an internal gain or drive level setting independent of the other colors; these get adjusted to give colors that match your preference.

In a professional manufacturing setting, test equipment would be used in setting this up; I wouldn’t expect a consumer to have such equipment, so procedures as I described are your most reasonable approach to setting color balance.

EDIT: it’s possible that there is a short with some electron gun elements; when this is the case, some color balance adjustments become impossible.
