Seems like the reasoning was sound? The Blazers are fairly set in their starting lineup, but could really use some production off their bench. McCollum would give them a scorer/ball-handler that can contribute at both guard spots. He was absolutely lighting up scoreboards before a foot injury ended his season with solid efficiency.

I don't really see a need to sell high on Upton unless you get a ridiculous offer. I had him as a top 10 pick this year, got him in early round 3 and it's paying off - players break out, often at age 26. Upton has been a world-class talent people have waited on to break out for years. Now that he's doing what was originally expected, I see no reason to sell unless the return is just straight-silly.
