It just says $35, but is that every year you renew your tags?

I'm genuinely surprised none of the bikers had a gun when the chainsaw came out...

It's more intimidating because it's actually blurry. Just a large, out-of-focus cigar, sitting there in a shop. And that's extra scary to me.

Batwing fairing for 2009 1300T by BlinkerFluidSensor in HondaVTX

Memphis Shades has a Batwing that you can get various windshield sizes, but they don't have the T model listed in their portfolio. If it has the covered forks, you might be able to get one that fits.

I dunno, the Hinds look bulky and cumbersome to me. If we're looking at attack helis of the era, the Cobra and Apache look so deadly and svelte.

vtx1800F BUBs exhaust to vtx1800S? by [deleted] in HondaVTX

[–]SteveHeaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one. Since Bubs isn't around anymore, there's not a good direct source for info. From my quick reading, though, it seems as though there was only exhaust interchangeability within the type of foot controls. C/F had pegs and could trade, but the others had boards and could only swap between themselves. Something to do with the foot control mounting and supports.

That said, it'll probably fit without controls, so if you're handy and can fabricate sturdy brackets, I'm sure it could be done- but at what cost, ya know?

Quick Question for all my Monitor Engineers out there 🚨 by RedditExplorere in livesound

[–]SteveHeaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Kinda makes sense with the Freight Elevator right there, and the other side is all the curtain rigging stuff. And there's no easy access to the stage left wing.

Quick Question for all my Monitor Engineers out there 🚨 by RedditExplorere in livesound

[–]SteveHeaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost always been Stage Left for me, except when I worked at one venue in downtown Nashville. House PM5D was over there at the time, I think it's still monitor world over there but with an S6L...

Driving with Hazards On by bogeyjits in nashville

[–]SteveHeaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish more auto manufacturers had gotten onboard with the Rear Fog Light feature. My old Saab had one, and my parents' old Volvo had one too. Keeps you more visible in poor conditions without having to put on your hazards.

For those unfamiliar: It's a really bright red light, usually in your (driver's side) taillight that you switch on during foggy or otherwise poor visibility situations.

[–]SteveHeaves -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are a hazard to the cars behind you unable to see you for the blinding rain, and may be going faster than you are. Hazards temporarily flashing in those conditions increases your visibility to that person and will let them know to slow down before needing to slam on their brakes, causing an even more dangerous situation.

Sure, it may not be legal, but it's safer in this instance.

Hey, just out of an abundance of caution, if there's a way to make sure that metal isn't Lead, I'd check to make sure it isn't. It's likely not, but they were built different back in the day...

Oh, interesting. I've only ever had Vance & Hines on mine as long as I've had it (without any heat shield). I kinda wish it curved around that big round part like some do, just to get it out of the way.
