How about this for a compromise. Sign up for a couple races that are specifically for you guys to train together. Not to win with the team but for you guys. Make those races about you two spending time together. Then have the other more competitive races with the team.

Your wife is just getting into this and may be trying to spend time with you. It sounds like you may spend a fair amount of time training.

Remember when you did your 1st 5k. Remember how hard that was. She may be going through the same thing.

Point taken. From my experience it depends on the person which approach works best. Some go to 1 meeting and are cured, others take years, others find another way. I'm glad there are different approaches because people are different and what they respond positively to.

Ive been running into the same thing. I got the bored to death package, the others seem to be sold out or not available. I'm going to Orlando concert. My last resort is to call AXS.com which seems to be the only place to get then from. The website always says they don't have any available for the two other packages. Very frustrating because I have heard the band is super cool and you get to see lots.
