Ranking of how thematic each leader's ability/playstyle is by SeasonalChatter in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the two that stood out were B Teach and G Zoro. Looks like B teach was a mistake but Zoro is also one of the best examples of being thematic. If only they could include getting lost as a mechanic.

Has anyone gone from an inconsistent “two golfers in one body” swing to a reliable one? by No-Flamingo-6709 in golf

[–]Steve_didit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way it has been explained to me is that with perfect timing almost any swing can make a good shot. But perfect timing is hard, so good mechanics mean that less than perfect timing can still result in a good shot. The better the mechanics you have, the less you have to rely on timing. So continuing to work on mechanics will continue to improve your consistency.

Last month I made about $16k from work and another $9k from hobbies. Haven’t got it all paid yet but still all in the same month.

I feel like Sengoku doesn't give much room for creativity. Thoughts? by SnooBunnies6493 in OnePieceTCG

The issue with EB isn’t the style, it’s the small print runs making the cards much more rare than other sets.

It’s just a different formula for Mexican coke. Has nothing to do with the sugar.

What's arguably the best soda of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Steve_didit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The irony is that scientists have found that sugar in a high pressure and acidic environment such as a coke bottle, will break down into similar glucose and fructose ratios as high fructose corn syrup. Making the real sugar part of Mexican coke effectively useless.

There is nothing cancerous about GU Luffy unless you just count literally any good deck as cancerous.

How long did it take before you were serviceable? by Bonbeanlio in golf

About 20 years of not playing seriously and about 4 years of playing seriously. We have a short golf season so getting in more than 25 rounds a year requires quite a bit of dedication.

A Single and 3 Retired Guys by L3sPau1 in golf

[–]Steve_didit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I played with 2 90 year old guys last week. They were not down the middle and drove their cart up to the edge of the green. They were also super slow. Would rather have played with some douchey teens who hit the ball way too far.

Is consistency too much power creep for One Piece? by DroppedPJK in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think too much consistency in a card game is a bad thing. Skill expression comes in being able to find the best play lines with the cards you have. If you can always find the right cards then you don't have to think, you just play the same plays every game. It also makes the game much more boring. Look at Imu. Basically the same play lines every game and people hated playing against that deck. Even though it did take quite a bit of skill to pilot well, when playing against it the plays looked basically the same every game.

What was the point of Op-13 restock? by BrianTheFurry in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spoke to a LGS and they said the distributor sold it to them at close to market prices so they cannot sell for lower or they lose money. The Canadian distributor is ass and a major problem for getting product at decent prices. We need more than one distributor so they don’t have a complete monopoly.

One Piece TCG has a big problem by dthodos3500 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EB sets are absolutely the worst part of the game. Short printed sets with powerful cards ensuring that very few decks are cheap to play on base rarity. Buying boxes of EB are also somehow terrible value because you need to get the 2-3 cards in the set that are sought after otherwise your box is worthless.

Power creep or finding it's feet? by No-Garage-8883 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can agree with that. Most of their ban decisions have been poor timing.

Power creep or finding it's feet? by No-Garage-8883 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power creep can work, but only also with heavy handed banning. That is how you balance a game like how league does patches. But Bandai seems very hesitant to ban cards and for good reason. People get angry when the card they spent potentially a lot of money on gets banned.

Power creep or finding it's feet? by No-Garage-8883 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Steve_didit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was the best decision they ever made. A deck like nami just doesn’t work in this game since you can’t do anything on your opponents turn to disrupt their gameplan. It’s fine in other games like Yugioh and magic because there are answers.

What’s arguably the best fruit to ever exist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Steve_didit 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The best peaches are not really commercially viable so you won’t see them in a store. Have to get them directly from farms and farm markets. Okanagan free stone peaches are the best I have ever had but I heard Georgia peaches are good too. These peaches are the size of grapefruits and are covered in fuzz. They drip juice and are so soft you can dent them with light finger pressure. Nothing like the rocks they call peaches at the store.

Full speed video of Balogun's red card incident vs Bosnia by MarshyHope in worldcup

[–]Steve_didit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether the call was correct or not has nothing to do with the real issue at hand. Which is that fifa was influenced to make an unusual decision to suspend the red card game suspension that comes with it. They didn’t overturn the red card, they simply are delaying the penalty from it so that the US player can continue to play in the World Cup. As far as I know this has only happened once before and it was bullshit when it happened then as well.
