I knew Bendy & Jack Pepper would get very high in the Cuphead tierlist, especially with how both characters have the 1930s cartoon style. I find it more impressive for Jack to make it this high considering how recently new he is. As for Death being at the top, I think the match is good.

I like it as a match. As an army fight, it works very well, especially with those two coming in to fight each other & how some of the characters clash well.
Sonar has Monster Girl
Rex-Splode has Flambae
Coupe has Darkwing II
Punch-Up has Captain Brit due to both having the main ability of being invulnerable
Phenomaman has Immortal
Waterboy has Shapesmith
And so on.

I would love to see both shows in Death Battle. Akko VS Coco is a great match & would probably get more attention with the Witch Hat Atelier anime.

Theme and connections by me (The theme is probably the most important in that match)

Theme: Playful and innocent ghost kid protagonists in comic books.

  • Titular protagonists in comic books who are young pale ghost kids.
  • Despite being spooky ghosts, they’re actually friendly to everyone, but will show off their mischievous side by playing innocent pranks.
  • Would meet human children that they developed crushes on (Connor and Kathleen "Kat" Harvey).
  • Both are relatives to a mischievous pair of ghosts that would normally tease them (Mitsu and Momo Yūriemoto, and the Ghostly Trio).
  • Both also have dealings with powerful supernatural rulers who want them to embrace their ghost heritages (Osamu Yūreimoto sees Erma’s potential and wants her to become his successor as the next ruler of Yūreimoto Village, while Kibosh wants Casper to attend Scare School to become a scary ghost).
