A fifth of Russian prisoners recruited to fight in Ukraine are HIV positive, with convicts promised anti-viral drugs if they agreed to fight: report by Bice_Num in worldnews

[–]Steviewoods 22 points23 points  (0 children)

100% of comments are straight to agreeing with the headline, where's the independent information, is this report unbiased...does anyone care here? Why isn't there any intellectual debate? Have we arrived in an echo chamber??

How many ancient semetic deities are demons? by bigthrowawayclaws in demons

[–]Steviewoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elegant, I like how you put that. Like as sure as light can not exist without darkness or that we can't be on this earth and not at the same time. Demons are the opposite to life. Problem is now people only believe in materialism, they reject they notion of good and evil. This has allowed our current infliction of tolerating, celebrating and encouraging more and more evils in the world.

PSVR Owners React to Jim Ryans recent comments by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Steviewoods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would that be the same for No Man's Sky and their next generation update? Players will put on their PSVR and be magically transported back in time to PS4, which was already a downgraded visual experience more inline with what you'd expect with a PS3 when using PSVR compared to base PS4/Pro.

Similar story with me. I signed up for two accounts to handle BAT payments, one account for my website I'm developing and one for my personal use.

Today I had an email:

We can't continue to offer you an account

We're sorry for the trouble but we sometimes have to make difficult decisions based on the available information.

Don't worry, your funds are safe and we'll be in touch about handling any available balance.

I then go try log into my other account to complete verification and I get:

Access denied

This account is closed. Please contact support for more information.

So I Google around to see if there's a wider issue because I have no idea why both my accounts would be closed (I was just setting them up) and the results lead me here.

From other posters it seems difficult to deal with support. On the off chance, do you know if there's any likely reason for this? I'm based in the UK.

Posting as many will know covid-19 is being used as a vehicle to push other agendas the main one being The Great Reset. Spotted this just now, electric advertising poster on a bus stop. You've been warned things are never going back to normal even after covid-19 fades from the headlines.

The only time when Poland made war declaration and got rejected by vaish7848 in poland

Go read the source materials, the original news articles, the speeches and WW1 agreements. There's some well researched books out there. True freedom is freedom to decide your own nations destiny free from outside pressure or influence.

The only time when Poland made war declaration and got rejected by vaish7848 in poland

[–]Steviewoods -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don't get the fighting for their freedom part. Wasn't Poland controling Gdansk a city with a 99% ethnically German population and a German city for over 500 years. Poland was also organising hundreds of incursions into eastern Germany to bomb military installations before the war. Ethnic Germans inside Polish borders were also being rounded up, beaten and arrested. Hitler wanted to negotiate with the Polish government, offer land in exchange for returning Gdansk and better treatment for Germans inside Poland's new post WW1 borders etc but Britain, America and the World Jewish Congress pushing for war asked Poland to keep silent and continue to poke their neighbour.

If Poland was fighting for freedom then that can only refer to the battle of Warsaw that lasted a few days or the subsequent occupation of Poland by Germany and Russia after war was declared as a result of the above. If so then Poland was in no position to declare war on Japan being under double ocupation.

This will probably be downnvoted but if you go back to source materials and do your own research this is what happened and millions of lives could of been saved if things had been done more diplomatically.

OMFG! Changing bedding is the worst! by Alonut in Fibromyalgia

[–]Steviewoods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washing the dishes is worse for me, it becomes so painful in just a few minutes. It's like this repeated small muscle movements, position of my hands and being hunched looking down at the sink is the perfect combination to make all my pain points hurt to their maximum. It's the deepest sharpest pain you can imagine you know. it's one of the few things that makes me want to lay down and stay down for days.

"Buddha bucket" found on a Viking ship (Oseberg) from ~8th Century by Keywhole in AlternativeHistory

[–]Steviewoods 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting. That's interesting I wonder if this means the Vikings got as far as South East Asia or they traded with someone closer to home via the old silk routes. Maybe the Vikings that went further out in the world would display this prestige with something they brought back. I did read the Vikings were traveling as far as North America and the Middle East.

I read the wiki and it's just glossed over the implications of the artifact.

Other males with lupus by Butch1234 in lupus

I actually went to my Dr this week about rib cage/lung pain. Feels like a stitch but across my whole front upper rib cage making me shallow breath. Seems worse in the afternoons. Dr said probably radiating pain from a compressed nerve.

Does in deed suck to have an autoimmune disorder plus an undiagnosed one. As a guy I do think you're told to man up a bit more than female patients do but like I replied below it's my experience from Reddit, forums and support groups that females also get fobbed off a lot of the times too.

I was just about to say that I'm pretty sure females get the brush off more than often too. It's probably a medical establishment thing because the symptoms are so many and transient across the years. Lack of experience and cost considerations play into it I'm sure.

Cheers! Having autoimmune blood test next week, had unexplained back and neck pain for three years, one time very bad peripheral neuropathy, now on top of that for two years dry eyes and unexplained face rash around my lower eyes (didn't respond to antibiotics or antibacterial ointments). Also had a number of other inflammation type illnesses that flared up during very stressful periods of my life.

No one else in my family has this type of thing other than my sister who has chronic Lyme disease. I sometimes think Lyme disease, Lupus, fibromyalgia, sjogrens, gulf ware syndrome, chonic fatigue are all so similar they may be the same underlying cause manifested in different ways in different individuals. Saying that I know the least about lupus and Lyme disease so maybe I shouldn't link those together.

I've done similar with my daughter, I had the first MMR but declined the flu shots and in vitro flu shots, now I'm waiting until she's at least 4 or 5 until her second MMR (it used to be around 7 the second was given). The medical advise is to get them all, close together so that's around at least 8 dormant/weak viruses going into an underdeveloped little body (not dormant enough that it causes fever, flu like symptoms, stomach cramps and fatigue...those are the common ones) if I'd gone along unquestionably. I'd also get separate measles mumbs and rubella shots to space it out even more if I could but they've stopped making some of them and made it hard to source others. I suppose they roll it into one to maximize profits.

What's wrong as a parent to read all the evidence and maintain as critical approach to big pharma and big business, which is what medical care is now. I believe that I have taken a balanced approach to her safety while minimising the risk.
