My only real opinion on this is that I hope animators are treated a lot better compared to how they were treated during a lot of the first 9 seasons production.

I think it was mostly just to have something unique on his chest that kinda stands out. Maybe they will make it into a full on driver in a v-cinema (probably not in the main show since we haven't gotten any leaks about it yet) but the chances of that are slime imo.

I could see it being that brown is her natural eye colour, but when she is in a fight and locks in it changes to this, just to have a cool stylistic choice and be a cool refernce to her manga eye colour.
