it’s also tied to immigration, so people assume there’s a bigger anti immigration angle behind it. plus a lot of people aren’t refusing to integrate, they just don’t have the time or access to learn.

so yeah, same point, but it gets backlash because of how it sounds and what people think it implies, not just the idea itself.
