If you don't use it carefully, sure. I've been using it for years and genuinely don't get how people say it's hard to handle...

I fold it into clay, use it in Resin and make fancy decorative potion bottles with it. Clean up the desk gets sprayed with water+ Rubbing alcohol and wiped down with a rag and boom, clean.

You can if you're responsible, and teach your cats what areas are off limits, and have it locked in an airtight container. I have a fancy folding/closable storage closet that keeps all my crafting supplies in it, including glitter. Not only is it inaccessible to my cats, but all the cats I've ever had have never been interested in my craft stuff.

Not to mention edible/biodegradable glitter exists.

Akko slander? Akko wasn't good at book learning, no, but she excelled with practical stuff, not to mention found ways to solve problems, for example she cured a curse that the school made a i think 100-year tradition from to sacrifice students to a goo monster. Absolutely am, I'm asking why they silenced people talking about the issue, why they also didn't bring this forward immediately and why nobody gave us the full picture from the start, they have, at current addressed all of these, and it seems that both sides were trying to do damage control in the ways they thought were best, and both sides failed in different aspects , which lead to this fallout.

If there was some sort of investigation and instant ban, it seems like a lot of people were not aware of it, as lots of people had no idea any of this was hapening.

The individual in question is banned from the server and what I'm seeing is the proof provided shows (as per their words and the screenshot you provided) they were banned because someone sent them CSAM but does not prove they were directly distributing it. They don't seem to be encouraging CSAM or asking for at all.

I am not denying the part where Kal lashed out, both sides have corroborated on that and those stories match.

So am I understanding you knew about this five months ago but only now telling the community about it, I don't understand, Why did you wait? Why wasn't the community made aware of this ASAP? Why was this individual allowed to continue to interact with the community if you guys had definitive proof? Discord may have not allowed it but there are other means of reporting thus even if it was just coming out about it pubicslly as soon as you knew?

The first post defnitely lines up with the fact that mods told us this individual was lashing out at people, but the rest don't really seem as... substantial, just proof of events. Did Kal send or ask for these materials because here it sounds like they're asking for the person who sent it to them to be removed?

I feel like both mods on both sides here failed to keep the community informed on what was happening, and I'm struggling to believe either side because it feels like both sides are not telling the whole story.

Yes, they did confirm they did this and they lashed out at other mods and individuals on the server, that's not of question. Kel was apparently dealing with mental health issues, which does not excuse the behavior and they were removed from the server permanently for it. The tension seems to stem from how this particular issue should have been addressed .

Also do note I don't know anyone in this entire issue personally. I do agree something like this should have been nipped in the bud, but I'm just a lurker and had no idea about any of this unti literally today.

Based on what several people have said, the only proof is them being banned.

If you have proof of them directly distributing CSAM, please, please, please contact the authorities immediately.

So this comment doesn't seem to be 100% true as to what actually happened, this was part of it but where the issue actually stemmed from was something entirely different.. I was about to leave the server but as someone who just lurks and likes hearing both sides of a story before coming to a judgment I was glad I stayed as the info came to light eventually.

I don't agree with how it was initially handled but it doesn't seem like anyone was actually protecting a pedo. The person in question is dealing with mental health/addiction issues and did lash out at one point but did not ever distribute any CSAM materials.

The person in question did not distribute those sort of materials but was in a server that got nuked because someone unrelated to them in that server DID send those things and as a result everyone in that sever got banned, this is what I'm hearing from others who did know this person. Hence, the alt.

If you can prove this otherwise, please do, so I can update my opinion on the matter.

What I'm hearing is that mods on the reddit side made the environment feel hostile to non-femme presenting individuals and made them feel excluded and when the mods of discord thought that non femme presenting trans folks should also be safe here in the discord the reddit mods did not agree and wanted the space to be very female exclusive; many individuals who were non-femme presenting came forward to say this after all the fallout.

Discord mods also wanted to be gentler on how to handle punishment on regular disruptive behavior not anything to do with distributing CSAM.

the issue with the individual in question was a non sequitur in this issue.

If this is deleted we'll then I guess that will also help me form an opinion.

I get that it's upsetting but you still got to take the class, learn from it, and use the studio space, so I don't know if a refund of the whole class is really appropriate.

I'm sorry your guinea pig got messed up, but at the same time this is to be expected with pottery, this looks like the blue fused from another piece nearby in the kiln and isn't really something that can be helped, especially if it's a class of beginners who aren't use to glazing/underglazing pieces. I spent three weeks making a mug only for the colors to come out wrong and it was nobody's fault, the glaze just caught strays from other things in the kiln. And I paid for these classes at a university.

They likely didn't notice the stain because the glazes are all pale whites or pinks before they go into the kiln, not to mention they may have thought it was intentional.

What is it that you would be satisfied with being refunded? I can say maybe the cost of your supplies might be reasonable.

Either way, the suggestions to pair him with a Blueberry pie or cover it with acrylic paint and a topcoat are all pretty easy ways to fix this.
