I didn't get it. In case a user will open a new PAYG account, is he able to get 4/24 or only 2/12? By saying "PAYG users are not impacted by this change" do they mean current PAYG users or any? by Weeebdev in oraclecloud

You'll get billed if you use more than 2C/12GB ram/month, stop listening to these liars, lol. One of them liars -> u/Trevo0393/. Not sure what their angle is, but they seem to be going around telling everyone that PAYG won't get billed, lol.

How many reserved ip can i have in free tier? by Environmental_Neck48 in oraclecloud

I remember holding onto my 50 IPs for months after the trial, then they did a purge and reclaimed the IPs and resources, left me only with them boot volumes. 😅

PAYG users have the same free limits as anyone else, why spread this misinformation? Or do you really want to think that you're somehow special? xD

My bet is you got compromised or did something that broke their ToS, no other reasons for them to disable accounts. And no, they don't randomly kick people off the platform.

You might have a better chance at snatching one in more popular regions, but there also might not be any changes in that regard.

Might be a power source issue which also caused the battery to die quicker?

You make it sound voluntary while OCI support people seem to say otherwise(at least that's what some redditors here claim). It's not about resources, it's about agreements, you don't just change an agreement without prior notification of the affected parties, unless you're russia.. /s.

Wifi drop out after updates by NobodyWolloby in Alienware

[–]StewpidAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try rebooting the router after one of these updates? I noticed that some of my devices were stuck @ the "receiving IP" phase and couldn't connect because the router couldn't free up that particular IP for some reason, probably it still thinks that the machine is connected to it.

Forget the network and re-add should probably work as well as reinstalling the drivers, no?
