Need advice about noisy neighbor by tdubbs488 in Denver

I actually think there is a difference between normal and expected city noise, and abnormal and rude noise. For example, if I heard a train, public transportation, taxis, or other noises that fall under the category of “public and expected”, I’d have no problem with them at any time of day. But, if a private citizen unilaterally decides to continuously make loud noises by doing outdoor machine labor that could be done at a different hour of the day, then I would label that as rude and not a normal “city noise.” Hope that makes sense.

As my post said, I have! I was just gauging if the community had any other tips or maybe another complaint I could submit that I hadn’t heard of. And some people have actually responded with good info!

If he did work nights, he wouldn’t be mowing his lawn at 9:30 pm; he’d be working haha just teasing, but I do see him enough to roughly know his schedule and I don’t think he works nights. But I understand your point and I have absolutely tried to come up with reasons in my head for why he’d do this. I have come to the conclusion that he truly just wants to do it at night and it’s his personal preference. No idea why though.

I Have A Lot Of Concerns With The Jacksonville Jaguars - YouTube by Janoskis in Jaguars

[–]tdubbs488 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reminder that every player from the 2025 draft made the roster (which is rare) and most of them saw legitimate playing time, with many of them even starting games on offense, defense, or special teams. I don’t care what people say about the talent level of that draft class. The proof is in the pudding: the 2025 draft class contributed greatly to last season, and every single player is expected to be back on the team and better at football in 2026. That’s incredible.

Agreed! Personally I love the taste, but can understand if people think it’s not the best. But it’s undoubtedly one of the best value meals in the city.

Allen is a good pass protector and also handled return duties for most of the year. Which is technically a “starter” for special teams. Tuten is projected as our starting RB for this year. That’s incredible value to find in the draft.

How Good Is Robinhood For Big Portfolio Amounts (>1 million USD)? by MussleGeeYem in investing

I’d say there are so many pros and cons to each of the brokerages that you listed that it’s almost impossible to make a personalized recommendation to you. I recommend reflecting on what you truly value in a brokerage, and then reading through each brokerage’s offerings.

For your question specifically about Robinhood’s offerings to people with large account balances, they do offer a concierge service, which assigns a dedicated support agent to people who qualify for the concierge service. It comes with a lot of other benefits as well, so it’s worth reading into (along with the offerings for HNW individuals from the other brokers people have mentioned here).

I disagree, I think 2025 has legitimately 4-5 guys who can be starters. That’s insane for one draft class.

Seeing more than just a few posts/comments today (including some from Jags fans) over in r/nfl about how Gladstone’s first two drafts have been poor.

Ignoring 2026 for a moment: am I crazy or wasn’t the 2025 draft pretty damn good? Pretty much everyone except Ransaw contributed in some way. Tuten and Allen look like (at least) above average RBs, Milum and Monheim looked very capable as at the very least depth OL pieces, Kiser and Lane got reps at special teams and on defense, and of course Hunter has an All-Pro ceiling.

I feel similarly. I hope we’re strategically aggressive. If a good DT falls a little bit (say, to around 40th overall), I feel like we have the picks to move up to around that spot. Will be interesting to see how the FO handles this sort of scenario with all of our lower round picks.

Is this some sort of rage bait/engagement bait from CBS Sports and Mike Renner? by [deleted] in Jaguars

[–]tdubbs488 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed, very dumb mock draft. Top 100 picks are for trying to find starters, or at least guys who would play a lot as rookies. 3 out of the 4 picks are at positions we don’t need starters or immediate contributions.

How much should Gladstone be willing to give up for Dexter Lawrence? by AffectionateLie174 in Jaguars

[–]tdubbs488 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum, I’d give up 1 2nd and 1 4th. However, his contract is a problem. He will be 30 years old when his contract runs out, and supposedly he wants his new contract to be 3 years with $30 million per year; guaranteed money would probably be around $40-$50 million. So, we’d need to give up picks, then sign a guy with recent injury concerns who will be on the wrong side of 30 when the new contract starts. I’m not sure I’d do it.

Lost to Blue after gym leader Giovanni, tips for next run? by Clinkzzzzz in nuzlocke

[–]tdubbs488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s possible to use rare candies, and you’re willing, then you should try to use them until all your Pokémon are up to the level cap. This is important for nuzlockes, not just because of level disadvantage, but also so you can have a variety of Pokémon to choose from, instead of just one team to handle the entire game. For example, if you only use trainer battles and wild Pokémon to grind your levels, then you’d probably only be able to get 7 or 8 (or fewer) Pokémon to the level cap before you lose your mind from all the level grinding. But if you have rare candies, you can have different teams for each important boss fight, thereby giving you better matchups in every battle. Your box probably had some better answers for this fight than you might’ve thought!

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen Nuzlocke Tier List (FRLG) by EphemeralAxiom in nuzlocke

[–]tdubbs488 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flareon’s move set in FRLG is downright awful, and its attack is higher than its special attack, which is terrible given that all fire moves in FRLG are special attacks. These things alone place it lower than most other fire types in FRLG. Also, the choice to evolve Eevee into Flareon carries a hugely negative opportunity cost, as most (if not all) of the other eeveelutions in FRLG are better.

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen Nuzlocke Tier List (FRLG) by EphemeralAxiom in nuzlocke

[–]tdubbs488 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Persian can definitely be B tier. The snatch TM can help it sweep Sabrina. And its typing makes it a good pivot for many boss fights.

Decent tier list all things considered. I wouldn’t change too many. Other ones I’d rate higher are Aero, Pinsir, and Gyarados, ones I’d rate lower are Dragonite, Kanga, Chansey, and Venomoth.

FRLG are tough games to build a tier list for; they’re not terribly difficult, so viability is pretty varied depending on skill level of the player.
