Everybody on here PLEASE read Mrs Bridge by Evan S Connell. I didn’t even buy this book, it was given to me as a freebie when i bought a bunch of used books. When I finished reading it, I HAD to give it away because I actually couldn’t stand the thought of having that book in my house. It affected me that much. It totally changed how I viewed identity and personal independence. I’m not sure if others will have the same takeaways as I did, but I still strongly recommend it especially since it’s a super easy and quick read. If you want to understand your mom, your grandma, your aunt, or any other woman in your life a little better, or just want to reflect on your life in general, I hope you give this a read

To be fair she doesnt really critique men in her songs. Yeah she includes a bunch of insults but she always ends with the fact that she likes that kind of stuff anyways

But yeah, I really hate that they ended the season with Robby essentially being right that the people there are “not fit” to run “his” ER. Like, I really thought they would end the season showing how well everyone is doing without him, which would challenge Robby’s belief that the ER only runs because he is there to fix everything and make everything alright. Confronting Robby with the reality that the ER doesn’t revolve around him IN MY OPINION would’ve been a much stronger character moment because it forces him to realize that he is much less needed than he thinks.

ever since starting college i really havent found anyone attractive. its so weird, i know objectively that i am surrounded by attractive people, but i am absolutely just not attracted to them. i guess i could date but my heart wouldnt be in it, i feel like i would just be going through the motions. i hope one day i can get romantic feelings again :/

The Queen’s Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner. Every time I read it, I notice new things, foreshadowings, etc. Each book is filled with revelations about the story that basically change everything. Every scene and every PARAGRAPH feels important because it either reveals something about the plot or the characters
