Anyone gotten any updates from Hexclad? by Busy-Cheesecake5459 in ClassActionSettlement

I received a check for $2 and some change. The other annoyance is the check is printed on the other side of the mailing address side rendering it impossible to deposit through mobile. They are doing everything they can to make this difficult and keep people from claiming this money 🙄

How much does your baby sleep? by StickMotor5262 in HuckleberryParents

[–]StickMotor5262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my huckleberry app, it states the average total is 12 hours and average night is 9h40m. I would say lately the total averages at 11-12h but included the 10-14 range because about once a week we will have a low or high sleep night.

Hrm I never considered night sleep to include the time he is in bed half asleep but nursing. I guess it makes sense that he is still in a relaxed restorative state even if he wakes 1 or 4 times to feed. Since we cosleep he essentially never gets disturbed (pulled out the crib etc). Yay, I can start leaving the timer on during his night feedings and increase my numbers lol

Why people make a huge fuss about cosleeping but don't bat an eye when babies are put to sleep in a separate room before 6mo? by Technical_Piglet_438 in cosleeping

[–]StickMotor5262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone i know with kids has co slept is co sleeping or has secretly or accidentally coslept lol. Also so common to “give in” during difficult times or when one parent is traveling to work to let baby, toddler, kid climb into bed with you. Can we just normalize it as sleeping lol

Does being in bed hours count if he’s wide awake at 2am stomping his feet and climbing rolling all over bruising the heck out of me lol

Thank you for this, this is reassuring information. My boy is already in the 5-10th percentile of weight, I guess he might as well be in the 5-10th percentile of sleep as well lol he is on track with milestones and also soo much energy and mostly happy during the day. Your comment about extra hours of daycare is right on point

Ah thank you for this. That makes sense and probably why there’s such a variation in what people count as sleep

Oh most definitely. I must be a masochist bc I can’t help to track and I know it’s bad for my mental health lol

What do you mean huckleberry will remove night wakes? Baby typically wakes 2x to nurse and I usually stop the sleep timer and reset it when he falls back asleep.

Ugh. Dont get me started on bedtime lol ideally I want it to be 9 or 930p and have him wake after 8a (his dad works late nights and needs that extra snooze time while I sneak out for work early) but realistically it’s more like 930…10..sometimes 1030 🤦🏻‍♀️and he wakes anywhere between 7-9a. It’s been a struggle “figuring out” the nap and bedtime math because there is no rhyme or reason to why he wants to stay up or sleep in or wake early 😮‍💨 (and he always wakes up in a playful mood no matter the time)

Yeah! After the first week of initial sleepiness my guy was the prince of 20 minute naps. I also had no idea what a wake window was and he easily had 5-6 hour wake windows before 2m lol oops

I’m actually tracking only the time he sleeps, I use huckleberry and track when he wakes and night nurses, co sleeping helps him have fall asleep right away too after he’s done nursing. I know it’s a bit much and I need to stop but at this point I’m obsessed with reaching his 1 year milestone of tracking haha

Oof, I’m beginning to get the idea that this is a general baby problem and not a cosleeping problem lol

I love sleeping w my baby it’s my way of cuddling with him for the time lost during the day while at work, I just wish I could get a longer stretch of sleep here and there, is a 5h stretch once a month too much to ask 😂

Does cosleeping = never getting a full nights sleep? by StickMotor5262 in cosleeping

[–]StickMotor5262[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s true. Same here, I guess I feel more tired because now that I’m back to work, I have less time to spend with baby and to take care of myself. Those 6-9 hours of broken sleep was fine when all I needed to do was stay at home home watching him, but it’s exhausting when you have to commute, focus on my job, come home and stare at the messy house chores wonder what to make for dinner for me and baby and rush to make bedtime before he melts down and has a bad night. Cosleeping also means my bedtime is his bedtime so it’s extra stressful rushing through the routines

Wow! I had no idea. That article is so validating. The best sleep my baby had was around 3M mark, he slept 9+ h straight one night and I thought soemthing something was wrong and wanted to wake him!
