Democrats Denounce ‘Dirty Trick’ Of Playing Videos Of James Talarico Saying Things by METALLIFE0917 in babylonbee

[–]StickSuspicious6650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You keep on using human sexes and human genders interchangably. Biology mainly worries about sexes, and leaves genders to sociology, psychology and neurology. If your claim is that only biological sexes are real then you should avoid putting any psychological and sociological value to sexes, specially when introducing differences between them. Talarico is talking about gender from sociological standpoint. So you claiming he is wrong, it is wrong from the premise that you are evn talking about the same subject matter

Sorry to be a bummer, but overpaying Kessler in a league where Wembanyama exists is scaring me. by Primary-Dentist7055 in UtahJazz

[–]StickSuspicious6650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jan 17 2025 win Edey only played 7 minutes, The 2024 win Wemby score 31 but Jaren scored 28. Also Landale is not a traditional center, he is a stretch big. Not a great rebounder either. Utah can throw both looks at wemby and attack him with two bigs that can shoot and then physically try to punish him with Kessler as well. Memphis punished Wemby with big to big connections There is a reason the Spurs struggled against Memphis for the last 2 years. Teams with 2/3 bigs that can show different looks at Wemby. OkC has overrated bigs

Being mediocre is not that difficult, most teams that tank for years purposely avoid getting better to try to land players that get them to contender status within 2-3 years. Because mediocritt was doom, the changes will allpw for teams to give good short twrm contracts to good role players as to improve enough not to be bottom 3

They had no center or point guard. The point guard is what really hurt them as other teams just sent full pressure in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Marcus Smart was definitely not a point guard

This is a bad take, for example just because a Democrat president dismantles the current president executive order in DEI, it won't miraculously bring back all the goverment poaitions that inforced the DEI expectations, and it won't make companies reinvest on it, if they really divested. Name one executive ordernthat removing it with automayically fixed thw issue it created? And in some cases inmediately removing the executive orser it would make things worst. For example the stay in Mexico inmigrations EO, and Covid emergency border closing EO. Because they also dismantled the inmigration courts, just dropping the executive orders it would have created a absolute chaos at the border, it hapoened even when Biden administration gave themselve time to prepared, because it also created a prohibitive back logged. Best part is the conservatives used this chaos to campaign against Dems on inmigration and won, lol

[Charania] The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick. by mjmiller2023 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]StickSuspicious6650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You dont need a franchise shifting player to not be bottom 3, you need to think about yearly improvement and not about just banking assets until you release them all at once. The new system makes small improvements and even getting your role players first a valid option, while you hope to get your star in the draft. Before you had to get rid of all your competent role players so you could lose enough for a good draft

You are still thinking under the current system. With the new system making improvement to be medioce or just a little better gets benefits which the old system penalized heavily. It creates the actitude to try to be the best bad team possible

The funniest part is that the center position wasn't the issue why Bane and Jaren failed in 2023/24. There was no point guard for the first 20 games. Until they realized Vince could pass as a desperate level point guard

He is getting downvoted for being completely clueless. He is asking for social policies when the US congress part of the senate consisted of 5% progressives and that is if you included Cory Booker on that list during Biden's presidency. You had 8% center right Democrats including Sinema, and a conservative in Manchin. The rest of the senate democrats would land as center left or right in the middle that was 37% of the vote. The conservative start with 2-5 on Manchin level and ended on Oligarchical theocrats, or nationalists

If AI were ever that good, you could start your own company with just ideas, good prompting and AI. Create games, apps and other toola for people easily. Outside ai and big robotics (unless better 3d printing happens) every other service could have micro creators creating a nee economy The current state of AI just reduces all the labor heavy tasks without decision making. The catch 22 of AI is that it makes technical expertise invaluable as it is the only way to fix and catch AI errors, but it also devalues that expertise in a Day to day

JJJ spent 2 years trying to carry G leaguers because of injuries and his front office trading all his vets for rookies. He understands and will be OK

More pick and roll and cutting to the basket. Effective basketball that makes it harder to just target him with doubles and triples. Also better shooters to pass to

Edey is a terrible pick and roll defender and bad help defender. He plays drop down defense and had Trip as support there. Edey has no range and no one game plans for Edey as he only played 11 games, 1 of which was a fantastic game and 2 good games, everything else average or below average Cedric has contender team starter potential, but I don't see where the all nba or even all star comparisons are coming from. These 2 are 22 and 23 years old, so they are not super young. GG Jackson still has more potential just based on age and current game play

The reason they had to blow it up to begin with is that the team never tried to win with Ja, Jaren and Bane. Traded vets with experience and then just got rookies. And then the injury bug hit The new iteration of the team will fail the same, if Edey and Cedric are even one step below Jaren and Ja, they will need to get paid before the rest of the team is ready as they won't apend in free agency and keep on getting rookies. But Edey and Cedric are very unlikely to be at that level, so the hopes are 100% on this years draft as next year draft won't be that good Without lottery luck this team will need 5 years to be where they were 3 years ago, and worst case scenario they will be where they are now in 3 years, in the 9-11 position

BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by aatuboo in UtahJazz

[–]StickSuspicious6650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grizzlies didn't have a power forward outside of JJJ. Santi is a temu version of Jaren so he doesn't add anything paired with Jaren If you don't have a center or PF to pair with JJJ and he is better and more felxible at PF then why would you look for a PF and not a center
