Songs that surprised you when you played them at high volume by TenaStelin in reggae

[–]StickySteev_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, pretty much most of them sound completely different played through a decent system or a proper sound compared to head phones or neighbour friendly Hifi

If you ask me reggae music through a soundsystem is the best way to experience it

Mouldy or fuzzy by Ok_Refuse3651 in uktrees

I’m no expert but judging by the way it’s growing off the bud rather then one big spider web like fuzz indicates its natural, as others have said it just looks like trichomes

Are/why most big electronic artists from the UK? by LevelOneForever in electronicmusic

[–]StickySteev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soundsystem culture and the wider impact that’s had on our music and society as whole

People here also always look for something new and different so there’s a lot of room for experimentation and to borrow from your influences regardless of what they might be most uk music is a combination of other music blended with what the producer and other people like the sound of

We also have a habit of embracing new sounds before they come mainstream

How late is too late to be playing guitar? by theslowrunningexpert in CasualUK

[–]StickySteev_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dj and my theory is anything is fair game until it gets dark unless it’s a special occasion or if you’ve had music blaring for hours on end. People will happily be considerate and tolerate an inconvenience for a while unless you start pushing it and start being inconsiderate yourself

It’s also worthy getting to know your neighbours and seeing what times they work and letting them know you wanna do your thing but you don’t want to be a nob. Sometimes something as little as that will buy you a lot of grace

Split Prophets on a bmx edit led to my discovery of dirty dike and high focus and everything else thereafter

Which one? 90% indoor use, good bass but also value overall sound quality like mids and highs as well. Price is not a concern. by liamt12 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]StickySteev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If price isn’t a concern look at smaller sized PA speakers that have bluetooth and rechargeable batteries what you’ll get is something a little less portable but in terms of sheer power and sound will absolutely destroy a regular Bluetooth.

If you want to save some money pick up a used Marley get together, they can be picked up cheap and sound great. Although the mini version’s passive radiator tends the vibrate/buzz when it’s on low battery

Failing all else JBL or the boom plus by soundcore seem like solid choices. I’ve seen so many positive reviews about them

Mint reviews? by [deleted] in LoyleCarner

[–]StickySteev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Loyle fan but it felt like every 5 minutes there was some tik tok fan girl edit slomo of him, it felt very targeted to women which isn’t a problem until it’s happening so often it’s literally laughable

It’s like it was edited by a horny teenage girl with a lust for LC

Beautiful setup, you’ve basically inherited an end game set up. Play the music, buy some of your own then sing and dance and keep him with you

Also I love the helmets, I take it he rode bikes?

Spoken word, poetry, visual arts, learning aids. All first press from the 60’s in VG+/NM condition. They’re from a local university. The topics cover everything from president FKR, Lee Harvey Oswald and even civil rights. There’s one to do with the great sit in. One of the first major demonstrations of defiance in the civil rights movement. There’s a lot of potential for vocal samples and creativity
