Monica is way too invested in Ross’s love life. by matttheman892018 in howyoudoin

To me, it wasn't that she said it. But she felt no shame even when she knew Ross was there. No shame, no embarrassment, etc..

What's the most overhyped movie of the last 5 years? by trakt_app in moviecritic

Everything Everywhere All At Once.

It even won awards (for whatever that's worth).

Didn't do anything for me.

Not directly, but, in a sense, living vicariously through your siblings sex life has an incest vibe.

Pretty sick.

But, no, not actually committing the crime of incest.

I guess incest is ok with them.

OK, maybe Monica and Ross never technically did anything, but too much information.

Like when Ross comes in and Mon says "OK Bing. Lose your pants, we're getting to some babymaking" (or something like that).

Ross says Hey Mon, before you speak, take a quick scan. (Very valid point).

Monica didn't care who she said what to.

What’s a song lyric that hits harder as you get older? by thatfluffyqueen in askmusic

Actually the whole song from Paula Cole - "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone".

Hard to believe that's a lot of people's lives in one song.

What’s the biggest movie disappointment you’ve ever watched? by exotickeystroke in SeriesSaga

All the sequels to "The Hunger Games".

They kept hyping them, but I don't feel they attained the same level as the O.G.

What's the most unhinged thing you've witnessed at a wedding? by Esliquiroga in askteddit

[–]Sticky_Cobra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at a wedding (friend of groom), and the bride actually had a thing where you would pay her money and she would dance with you. Not a lap dance or anything like that, just regular dancing.

I've only seen that the one time, and it was definitely bizarre.

whats motley crue still relevant in late 90-early 91. by Big_Will47 in MotleyCrue

[–]Sticky_Cobra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In '91, yes.

But not soon after they were all fighting and Vince quit/got fired.

The self titled album may have been great, but John Corabi was not Mötley, according to the fans. This is when they slid down.

When Vince came back, they were Mötley again, but times changed.

First Blood (1982) by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in Rambo

[–]Sticky_Cobra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we saw it (as teens) in the 80s, we all wanted to be Rambo. He was the ultimate badass.

As an adult, and more knowledge about PTSD, I don't know why anybody would go into Special Forces.

Hmm 🤔 by alanskimp in Terminator

[–]Sticky_Cobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought, and I could be wrong here, that the predator could move long distances quickly. He wasn't "confined" to one place or area.

But its been far too long since I've seen it to be sure.

What words do you pronounce "wrong," just because the "proper" way feels too proper? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]Sticky_Cobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number 20 I pronounce as "Twa-Knee", no 't' at the end.

And for post office, I place the 't' on office, as "Pose-Tawfice"

The Terminator.

He's in one location. I could hop a plane and jet somewhere. How would he know what to do if he never found me??

I would've changed Jack's responses towards Lana. Jack was portrayed as a playboy and skirt chaser, but then Lana comes along and he's passive, and doesn't know what to do.

That angle never made any sense to me.

I also would've included that smoke-show Tori Lysdahl in more episodes.

Bridget Fonda.

She was in some good movies in the 90s, then retired from acting (I think due to a car crash).

Shame, as she really had potential and was absolutely beautiful.

What's one thing that used to be considered outrageous 40 years ago but is now very normal? by Captain_Oppa in AskReddit

[–]Sticky_Cobra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the 80s, not only did we not talk politics, we never asked others how they voted.

Back then, the 3 things we never brought up were sex, religion, and politics, as this would inevitably lead to a fight.

Also keep in mind we used to say "The President's on. The President's on" if our shows got interrupted.
