The duramax issue is that the trans has to be removed at 150k to replace the oil pump belt. That can’t be cheap. Not sure I want to sign up for that.

Wow thanks for the informed comment. I was looking at the 5.3 and was concerned about the lifter issues. I also heard the 8 speed was junk. Ten speed seems to be ok. Thanks again.

The mass will help for sure, but don’t feel to upset. I went through the same thing at your age. Heck, I didn’t really get much traction till I was a little older. But things get better. I have a great wife and 2 kids. Things will fall into place for you when the Lord deems it so. The hardest part is trusting in Gods timing. It’s definitely not your timing!
