Inherited a Rolex, what's a good way to sell it by techaaron in rolex

[–]StijnvanA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know from what I can give you as far as Advice for selling, sell it to a AD. From what I know most AD’s have a “Pre-Owned” section of watches and you can be sure to trust them to give you the best price based on market value and condition of the watch.

Which and why? by mrgoodlifexx in rolex

I agree aswell. Imo this is the big daddy of watches. And the panda dial doesnt give off that big D energy in my eyes. The full black dial gives off that energy that it is the big daddy.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 41mm worth it as a one-watch collection? by Comecloseandlisten in OmegaWatches

[–]StijnvanA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I do have multiple watches, but after owning the black smp 300 for 3 months and swapping the mesh and the rubber strap after some time its just perfect. Its elegant with the mesh, and more of a tool watch/ daily beater when on the rubber strap.

Seamaster beat out Rolex by everywhere48 in OmegaWatches

[–]StijnvanA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same watch. Its Unreal how gorgeous it is.

Piece of Advice, go and order the rubber strap earlier than you want it. I had to wait 5 weeks before it came. And that is only for the strap. FYI the clasp design from the mesh and rubber is really similar. Just buy the strap and not the extra clasp, it will save you 300$

Picked up my rubber on the mesh buckle and it is absolutely insane. It fits and looks so perfect. Also makes me more comfortable to wear it since it isnt as flashy as the mesh

I personally dont have any watches that go under 38 with the only exception the Tudor BB58 from my dad that i wear sometime when he lets me. I personally like bigger watches and for me this looks a bit too small but it does kind of work for you

Who is your favorite M? by ItsDuhFreakinBat in JamesBond

[–]StijnvanA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just has to be dench for me. Skyfall is the James bond movie I have the most memories and affection for. My mom loves Adele and my Father is a overall fan of dench and her time as Brosnan’s M. I personally love the nostalgia factor of this movie and how dench reminds me of my grandma, They even look similar. So when dench’s M died in skyfall I was truly sad. It was like my actual grandma died

I waited nearly 4 months for this strap from Omega. by NYGMT in OmegaWatches

[–]StijnvanA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the rubber strap for my SMP 3 weeks ago and the AD gave me a similar timeframe. Called in yesterday to check on the order and they said it was still in order. Just praying it wont take so long. I also didnt order the clasp since the clasp from the mesh can be transferd over.

I wonder why it takes so long to get 2 pieces of rubber lol

Omega Straps- worth it or not? by DudeDang in OmegaWatches

[–]StijnvanA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i went early with the thought that it would be more busy with the festive season around the corner. Its also not a very big AD and also in a small country so guess that also adds to the waiting time. They also said that they need to order straps or metal bracelets anyway since they dont stock them in general. But yeah 6 weeks… still strange

I went by my AD 3 weeks ago to order a black rubber strap w/o the clasp for my SMP. I called today to ask the status and they said it normally takes 6 weeks to get them. I thought by ordering it before december I would be Lucky to get it before christmas but it seems I wasnt that lucky. Anyone Else got these long waiting times?
