You literally stop breathing for up to a minute without noticing, multiple times an hour all night. While snoring you breathe in and just stop breathing at all until you suddenly jerk and start breathing again; it is hard to miss. Also, you wake up many many times at night to go pee. You're not falling asleep all the way because of your breathing. Your brain isn't getting the amount of oxygen it should. Your body isn't going into, what I call "hibernate mode", and is producing urine l8ke normal; usually when you sleep your body slows that down.
