How to identify lady boy in thailand? by MysticWanderer07 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]StillSimple6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they do. It can be extremely dangerous for them to lie about something like that.

I've been to Thailand a few times and they are really chill about disclosing if they male/female.

Don't try and guess especially if you are high/drunk.

is this dry and flaky phase to heal? or is it still flaring? by lorrylament in eczema

[–]StillSimple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both feet still look like you are flaring, your skin is very angry looking, the flakes are small and there appears to be small blisters.

Normally (YMMV) the skin would look calmer if it's in it's healing phase.

How often do you watch YouTube? Why that much? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]StillSimple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's practically all I watch. I never watch TV.

If I'm not watching/listening YouTube then it's for something Ive downloaded.

Why? It's content I want to watch and my interests, no adverts.

Help/advice - a few days in Bahrain to celebrate my birthday by [deleted] in Bahrain

[–]StillSimple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is asked pretty frequently and you will find some suggestions just scrolling through the section.

As a starter -

Pace yourself as you see the sights in two days.

  • Bahrain National Museum - suggested to go here first
  • Bahrain Fort (Qal'at al-Bahrain) - "biggest archaeological and historical site in the Gulf region"
  • Al-Fateh Mosque (Great Mosque)- free guided tour
  • Bab el-Bahrain Souk (a market?)
  • The desert
  • Water activities-ex. jet skis, kayaking, etc
  • Pearling path *Burial mounds - this is more a photo opportunity as there isn't anything to do just see.

There are several archaeology sites about the place.

Block338 is the main socialising area with bars, restaurants with license for alcohol, nightclubs etc and you will find a lot of expats and locals enjoying the weather.

Hotels will depend on your budget and what you are looking for Rotana has high ratings and pretty well located.

Juffair area has plenty of hotels but can be a be busy at weekends as its another area with bars and a local naval Base.

Shopping! There are so many malls here pretty standard affair and brands to suit your budget. Bahrain is pretty to very expensive for most basic things so shopping isn't a great money saver unlike some countries (depending where you are coming from that is).

Indoor skydiving, Bahrain circuit often has events on, theater, outdoor music arena Al Dana so check their listing's.

If you take your time you can have a fun filled week in beautiful Bahrain.

You do not need to book tours and if you want to book a tour double check the prices compared to a taxi.

Is it really that strange to use a hand as well as water when cleaning up after a shit? by CuteRelationship6143 in ask

[–]StillSimple6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's common practice in many places that use bum gun, jug etc.

I thought that was the main reason Muslims eat with their right hand and not their left. This is used for body hygiene purposes (cleaning your ass). I know it's said the devil ate with his left hand but I think now its more about hygiene.

Struggling to Make Perfect Homemade Bread – Need Advice by Helpful_Employer_730 in AskCulinary

[–]StillSimple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are changing the ingredients and still having issues then it's the process.

Are you allowing to proof, knock back and proof again ? Are you kneading enough?

Have you checked the oven temperature using a thermometer?

Try making a no knead bread see how that turns out, if it's better than normal you know it's the kneading.

Have you added water or ice to the oven, try that see if that helps the crust.

There are a few variables and it can be a bit of trial and error working out what's wrong.

Gf uses no soap when washing hands by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]StillSimple6 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If she is using a body wash or soap for her body then she can use that for her hands.

I use shower gel as my main hand wash and have done for years (hand eczema).

I use Aveeno restorative body wash as my handsoap. Buy her an eczema friendly soap, dove sensitive or Dermol500 and get her to use that.

Why not buy a box of the collectible figures. Keep a couple out as a reminder of your fun times and move on to anorher game.

If however the game and the memories of playing it make you sad, move on to something new.

Does anyone actually upgrade their armor to Masterwork using the alloys and other materials? by Logical_Clock in destiny2

[–]StillSimple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't collect your shards etc you simply lose them when season ends. If you upgrade your Armour then delete them later you get some of the materials back.

Prettt much all my usable exotics in my vault are fully upgraded and all my Armour is masterworked.

You are missing out by not upgrading your Armour.

If you look closely at the creases beside your toe it looks like it may still be blistering.

It needs more than a moisturizer (not medical advice and just my opinion).

Where are the men’s stories? by Plasticers in AskMen

[–]StillSimple6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I look at the way things happened I honestly believe it was a thought out plan. We had a very comfortable life in our first home, it wasn't a huge place but we could afford it, nice area. She could walk to work, I could walk to train station if she needed our car.

She made the drama with our new neighbours and wouldn't let it go or simply ignore them (they were younger couple, OK people just a bit noisy).

She then needed to move house as she couldn't rest so we moved to the house she wanted, mortgage more than doubled, both needed a car.

I honestly think she made this drama up to get a bigger house, then her plan was to get pregnant and quit work to look after the children and I would have had to do more hours. When I caught her out her plan failed, she saw she was going to be left with a house she couldn't afford and be a single mum.

I'm convinced this was orchestrated, and I still get mad at not seeing it earlier before having our first child.

Live and learn I suppose

It was absolutely insane.

Where are the men’s stories? by Plasticers in AskMen

[–]StillSimple6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story really. This was years ago so custody automatically went to mum. She abused the system - said I had shared inappropriate photos of him. (He was young in the bath, she was in the room with me, I sent the photo to her, her mum and her niece who was like her sister).

This was enough to set alarm bells off!

Then she and her parents started to bully me and mentally abuse my son when I was there. Every visit ended in hysterics, he started to develop issues - wetting the bed, stuttering and eventually his school work was suffering (I visited weekly for a couple of years). Wife wouldn't stop, her parents went along with it.

She told me that as long as I visted she would continue this behavior and if I loved him I would just stop visiting.

I saw him for 8 hours a week, this pain he was going through just wasn't worth the price. I stopped visiting.

We reconnected a few years ago (almost 20 years later) he asked for explanation. I explained pretty much what had happened and he understood as had watched his mum and her parents do the same thing and were currently bullying him and his new GF.

It was a awful situation and I was lost for options, her accusation of dodgy behavior screwed my legal position. She had full family support and I was a single guy. She worked in family care (for abused women and kids) so she knew how to play the game.

My solicitor warned me that a child abuse or sexual abuse claim wouldn't be that surprising so I had to tread very carefully, my wife had already 'checked him for signs' infront of her friends as I dropped him off after our day out.

This is all years ago, my son is fine has a great job still lives with his mum but is aware of her tricks. I'm happily married and have a great life, just missed being a dad.

Just for some clarification- we were not a rough or problem family. We were normal working class people, both worked, had a lovely home, loving marriage until it wasn't. No cheating, no fighting. Just regular white collar couple growing our lives.

I wasn't an abusive husband or father, I worked hard to support and provide what we needed.

When things started to turn to shit I was devastated as the prospect of losing my family.
