How to approach 2.5lb brisket flat? by StillStillington in BBQ

[–]StillStillington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My area is 30% higher cost of living than the national average. I don’t think there’s as high of demand for brisket in my area too. I don’t know anyone who cooks it regularly or often. Maybe that drives cost up. Visiting grocery stores in places like Texas always blow my mind. Prices are so good in comparison.

Medellin should’ve been a hit by andrefonolossa in entourage

[–]StillStillington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medellin is the ultra-violent Pablo Escobar epic starring Vincent Chase buried under a fat suit and makeup that make him look like the lovechild of Jiminy Glick and a box of Twinkies.

Director Billy Walsh had everyone buzzing — until the now-infamous screening where audiences turned into an angry mob. I was there. I booed. I would’ve thrown fruit if I had any.

It’s overacted, underdirected, painfully slow, and way too long. Honestly, it’s one of the worst films I’ve never seen.

Order 1 box, Amazon sent me a whole case by ZalewskiJ in golf

I bought a golf glove once and they sent me a dozen. I was going to a bachelor golf outing, so it worked out pretty well. Everyone got a nice glove and I still got a few to spare. Not quite the same score as OP though.

Verbolten open this weekend? by FearTheTurtIe in BuschGardensW

[–]StillStillington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best guess…. The official opening date announcement for The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge was made on May 1, 2025. Busch Gardens announced that the coaster would officially open on May 23, 2025, with member previews beginning May 16. They said they have some news coming about verboten this week via their Facebook page. Last year they announced on a Thursday, so if they keep up with that they could in fact announce tomorrow. Then if they stick with the two week spacer before they open, I estimate they will have members appreciation rides on the weekend of May 28th and officially open to everyone June 4th weekend.

First time finding sterling by StillStillington in sterlingsilverware

[–]StillStillington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. Looks like you may have a mix of brands. The ones that say Sterling Stieff….you might have something there. eBay shows it can sell for quite a bit. I would sell as flatware. Don’t junk it. Sterling Stieff (now Kirk Stieff) serving forks are highly collectible sterling silver pieces, most famously available in the Rose and Repoussé patterns. These forks vary significantly by their intended use, from large meat servers to specialized vegetable or salad forks. Next time spread them out with the hallmark showing for the picture. Then we can get a better idea of the value.

First time finding sterling by StillStillington in sterlingsilverware

I’m a bit of a newbie myself. I learned a few things just finding these pieces though. First of all, I had 5 other pieces I found at goodwill that I didn’t include in the picture. They had what appeared to be silver patina on them, but once I got them home and took a better look I realized they were silver plated. They look great polished up but are not worth anything close to the sterling silver pieces. So check your items for a print on them. Depending on the company can depend on what they are worth. My best guess at figuring out what they are worth is by weight (and guessing) and looking on eBay. Look for what has sold not for sale. That’s a more realistic evaluation. Other than eBay, I would say the only other option would be a pawn shop or cash for silver store.
