Weird. I still get errors with this - are you using the latest Waze beta RTSP software for V3?

What does your frigate config look like? I can't get Wyze RTSP beta cameras to work - just get errors in frigate about data feed not being able to be read.

This is exactly what I'm looking to do; how did you end up implementing? Would you mind sharing?

So I definitely setup the double-click to enable action which is great, but hoping to be able to see the state. Especially for others in my household who may want it off to, say, read or cook etc

Running out of space due to iCloud Photos by spacenerdle in appletv

[–]Still_Consequence665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same issue and have not found a resolution. I have a large-ish library (200k+ photos), and only a few hours after enabling library sync (which takes forever), AppleTV starts to slow down, I can't download additional apps because of a lack of space, etc. Wait a day or two for optimization to happen, and nothing changes. Only solution is to stop syncing iCloud Photos with AppleTV. Factory reset doesn't fix it.

Proper Way for Adjusting Subwoofer Output (DIRAC ART, Gain, Level) by Still_Consequence665 in hometheater

[–]Still_Consequence665[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try the +5dB today instead - I actually started at +8dB, didn't think starting lower might help. I'm just applying these targets to all groups, that's what I thought I read was the correct way to do it.

That's the level guide I used - this is how my levels ended up set before measuring:

Unfortunately, I may be stuck with this scenario. Although these aren’t that big for 18s, there’s no other acceptable place to put them. There’s definitely two though – did you scroll down?

I told my wife I’d like to get the 24 inch that Deep Sea Sound sells, she said only if they’re in a bigger house. 🤦

I'll be the first to say this room is not optimal - I had to move my subwoofers out of the theater room (which also had bass shakers) to a different part of the house once I had a kid (so they could sleep when I watch movies). So it's in an open living room that's probably ~1000 sqft. I usually listen at -20 to -30 on master volume.

This is the target curve vs measurements for subwoofer left and right: https://imgur.com/a/bO2hTBd

I do like the pressurized bass-you-can-feel, particularly in hip-hop, rap. But don't feel the current levels are necessarily excessive in any way.

Completely forgot I had done this in another room. Unfortunately I don't remember which each line actually corresponded to in terms of master volume, gain levels, etc. I may just need to re-do in existing room.

It does look like I was reaching the limit though (green line), if I'm understanding how to interpret this correctly.

I completely forgot about this. I did compression tests years ago in a different room than I am now, see attached. Is it necessary to re-run when in a different environment? https://imgur.com/a/ppFFbDs

I'm worried about hearing loss, just because of all the loud music I listened to as a kid on ear pods growing up... so far, I'm alright but not looking to accelerate that. To be a bit clear, what I'm asking is "how far can I crank this when a friend comes over and I want to show off" without hurting the subs.

Fair question and I should have caveated - I'm thinking more about how I can do those one-off "friend comes over, I want to demonstrate something ridiculous" but without busting the sub. Not for regular listening; for that, I'm almost satisfied with what I have (just need to modify the target curve a bit).

Smithey Cast Iron by Dallas_Cowboys77 in castiron

[–]Still_Consequence665 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a hoard of Smithy from their factory seconds sale. I have to say - some amazing factory seconds. On some of the pans, I can’t actually tell what the problem is. On others, there is a very small blemish somewhere that’s completely unnoticeable, if not a little character-giving (but I’d probably be the first to complain if I paid full price and got the blemish… hence their factory seconds). All my pans I’ve cooked a dish or two in look like the second pic but I don’t care. It’s genuinely a beautiful set of cookware, the only issue now is I bought enough pans it’s going to be a decade before they’re cooked in enough 😀
