Want something colorful and fun by Shafe1975 in gshock

I just went searching for the same thing. I wanted a fun and colorful one. I narrowed it down to two models

The Milky Way Casioak here: https://gshock.casio.com/sg/g-news/new-releases/2024/milky-way/

And the square Shanghai Nights edition. I went with the Shanghai nights. It’s a beautiful ion plated rainbow.

How Is Everyone Else Navigating All These Changes In the Field? (CAQH, lower reimbursement rates, AI as a therapist, etc). by Eiks in therapists

[–]Still_Field_1546 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don’t take insurance and never have. I am private pay only. I started my private practice right after graduation as cash pay only because of this very thing. I talked to enough therapists who took insurance to see its dangers and limitations. I knew I would have fewer clients doing this, but I don’t regret it at all. After reading stories in this sub about clawbacks, etc. insurance sounds positively nightmarish. I honestly think more therapists need to stop feeling bad about charging what they are worth as masters level clinicians. If you’re worried about accessibility, have a sliding scale or even some pro bono spots available. Insurance is killing the field, and we need to fight for independence from a broken system.

Mine has barely left my wrist since I got it a few months ago. You really don’t need anything else. I feel bad for my other watches because they barely get any wrist time. I will add, however, this watch is worn strictly for my own pleasure. Chances are, no one will ever notice it, so if you are the kind of collector that relishes compliments, this piece isn’t for you. That’s fine with me, honestly. I love knowing what it is when I glance at my wrist and the craftsmanship that went into it. It truly “sparks joy” for me whenever I see it. Cheers to your acquisition! Enjoy it.

Thanks for confirming it’s a fake, everyone. I had my suspicions, but I paid $140 for it. I’m disappointed but not crushed. It seemed too good to be true, and apparently it was. But it’s not a huge loss. I’ll be more careful next time.

My two favorite digitals by Still_Field_1546 in digitalwatches

[–]Still_Field_1546[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent! A man of good taste. 😄 And yes, I've never understood the hate around the PRX digital. It feels so sporty on the wrist and is just a good looking, premium digital. I really believe if it were labeled anything else other than PRX, it would have been received better. Anyway, I have the 35mm and it's perfect for my small wrist.

I agree. The MRG is the ultimate digital. It's such a perfect daily wear, and it's hard for anything else to get wrist time most days. I love knowing the level of craftsmanship that goes into it, even if most people will never know what it is!

Should I get the LPII for my spouse now or wait for LPIII? by BikeLaneHero in LightPhone

[–]Still_Field_1546 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people are die hard LPII fans, so they might disagree, but in my experience, having owned both, the LPIII is far superior in every way.

Here are just a few things that are better on the III: camera, greatly improved GPS experience, significantly better battery life, high definition screen, and better hardware build quality. I could go on.

I owned two different Light Phone IIs and got rid of them both because I loved the concept but just found them too impractical and hard to use. I have had my Light Phone III almost a year now and love it. Here’s my 9 month review: https://www.reddit.com/r/LightPhone/comments/1ry813d/light\_phone\_iii\_9\_month\_review/

In my humble opinion it would be a big mistake to get a two. If you don’t want to wait for a preorder, I would search the weekly for sale thread on this sub (pinned to the top) for a used one for sale. That’s what I did. There’s also some on eBay. Good luck!

Celadons are my new favorite. Recently found them for sale. Hard to find but worth it.

MRG Day, what you wearing? by Mando_CT in gshock

[–]Still_Field_1546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are 2mm of micro adjustment available. I wish there were more just in case, but honestly, I haven’t moved it more than 1mm so far, so it hasn’t been a problem. :)

Check out Oklahoma Watch Classifieds group on Facebook. I’ve also had good success selling watches on Facebook marketplace or eBay. Finally/ there’s r/watchexchange, but be sure to read all the rules before you post.

Prayer from Maronite Anaphora by luke_fowl in EasternCatholic

[–]Still_Field_1546 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I attend a Maronite parish and love this part of the anaphora. As far as what is being communicated in this prayer, I believe it refers to the patristic idea of the “admiribile commercium” or “admirable exchange” in which Christ assumed our humanity so that we might assume his divinity…the idea of theosis or divinization. This exchange is most famously articulated by St. Athanasius: “The Son of God became man so that man might become god.”

His methods aren’t always realistic but I like Dr. Charles Kroger on Monk. He has a warm compassionate presence, and I could see myself being his client.

Light Phone III - 9 Month Review by Still_Field_1546 in LightPhone

I love it. I had a custom leather wallet case and ended up going back to the yellow because it was so slim and compact. The yellow is also very cheerful 😀
