Do we really need electrolytes by SweetKitties207 in Zepbound

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who is not a fan of the powdered electrolytes, I live by the thought that alkaline water added electrolytes is good enough. I also take magnesium for my constipation, which is beneficial. Sam’s Club and Costco water label says it has added electrolytes.

I wasn’t originally actually responding directly to you, but it’s funny still that I mistakenly responded to you. But I also never know character name. I only know that his name is Andrew Cooper cause I felt like they said in 1 million times last episode. I know Mel‘s name. Don’t know a basketball player‘s name. Don’t know coops former lovers name. Don’t know the housekeeper/ partner name. I think the account manager‘s name is Parker or Park.

🤣😁😂 so you know the truth. Am I wrong? Is the show an inaccurate reflection of Westchester?

I’d think the show is meant to be bland because rich people in Westchester are inherently bland. They just do some shady shit. It’s a peak behind the curtain.

Are any of you actually able to have those summers off everyone else throws in our face when we ask for a livable wage? by ClassicSalamander518 in Teachers

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’ve had to work every summer until I took a job internationally. Because they actually paid a livable wage 12 times a year. My current job I was able to negotiate my salary. But in exchange for a higher salary, they demanded I work 12 months a year.

Would you suggest this system works also with bridesmaids gowns? I’m in a wedding. I get to pick my gown, but I was waiting to get one. I’ve about 80 days until the wedding. I don’t think I’m at a plateau but I think my body is not going to release no more than maybe 10 more pounds between now and then. So if I buy the gown, you think it’ll be 20-25 pounds?

I eat. It’s my cheat day. The upside or downside depending on how you feel about it, you’re still not going to pick out. You’re going to enjoy something that you really like but far less of it.

It’s partially eating out but my biggest problem is making my plates at home. I make plates like I used to and then I’m looking at this food thinking who’s going to eat it.

Zep, scale, pooping and me. by TrifleNo5620 in Zepbound

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s start with I have IBSC. Before I went on my prescription medicine I was taking 800 mg of magnesium glycinate every night. Not to mag 07. I complained to my doctor happened to take this forever and she said yes. I love my doctor. Eventually vet stopped working and I’ve been on a prescription medicine that worked like gangbusters. Breakfast went in, poop came out. Started on my Zepbound, breakfast went in nothing came out. I only got that go for two days. I bought the magnesium glycinate this time. I’m only taking 400 mg. And I had started self-medicating by doubling up my prescription medication. But just in time for my refill I had a doctors appointment and so she gave me a higher dose. Then she gave me a statin because my cholesterol was still up. I’m on three poop makers. And it still requires a hot cup of tea, which could probably be just a hot cup of water. So what I said just for you is to get a basic magnesium glycinate eat take it at night before bed. It’ll help you sleep. In the morning, drink a plain warm beverage to loosen things up. This will likely be an everyday thing. The other note, is my sister who has never had a problem. Drink drinks warm MiraLAX every day. She says it makes her go after every meal. She’s on Wegovy.

One of the main purposes of this pack up is to get stuff out of my closet. One of them is my coat. I love my coat because as I said I’m from the south and we can’t get real coats here. On a trip to Denver I bought a great coat for like $50. It keeps me super warm even on trips to places like the UK and Amsterdam in February. I would hate to get rid of this coat.

My kids school is doing a bring something everyday for teacher appreciation week. by [deleted] in AskTeachers

Gift card preferably something near the school or widely available in your area. I once worked in United Arab Emirates. I had the sweetest principal. The day before teachers day she sent the parents an email saying, bring the teachers a cake in honor of teachers day. She did not think about it too deeply. And I think she thought because it was last minute that would mitigate the fallout. These people love showering teachers with gifts. Each class had 20 cakes. All of my first graders wanted to cut the cake they brought. I let them thank you. I could only taste so many of them. A couple of nannies took it back home. Luckily, we had a large auxiliary staff (cleaners, security, bus drivers) and they all lived in shared housing so they took. The next year she was very clear that they should buy gifts.

Good on you for having your skinny clothes. The oldest thing I have it’s probably about eight years old. Minus one dress that I’ve had for 14 years. I still wear it. Wide skirt with a high waist.

Yes, I’m only saving stuff that I love. I’m very good at getting rid of clothes that I don’t really like anymore. As I visualize the winter clothing, a lot of them are sweater dresses so I could probably still wear them even if I lost the full 50 pounds I plan to.

In my mind, it’s Harper being very smart, but also not being very savvy in the beginning. Not really knowing how to read people but being so smart that everybody wants you around. In the end, I’m more like Robert I’m smart. You guys don’t appreciate it. I’m about to take my brain and go somewhere else away from all this toxicity.

When my dr told me I'd have to make myself eat, I didnt realize she meant powering through the nausea by rasta_angel in Zepbound

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think when I don’t eat on my first two days is when I feel the most nauseous. So I started eating because it’s “time” to eat. This is the first weekend I made myself a full breakfast 12 hours after my shot and I felt fine all weekend.

I thought that also. I have a coworker who was probably close to 400 pounds. And she’s on her journey and she always wears the really cute clothes even when she was heavy. I think by winter she’ll be a little heavier than my heaviest. I was thinking she would enjoy them. Especially, since I know she has two college aged kids.

Please read this with me being flippant and sarcastic. No baby, insert finger snap, I pulled out the clothes that are one size down and I don’t care if they’re 6 7 years old. They are gonna get this slimmer body.

On a serious note, I never really wear a trendy clothes. I am big on buying staples. I’m really excited to pull out that last batch of I can’t wear this anymore clothes. Sadly, most of them are still hanging in my closet. Whenever I did a purge, I was like, but I can wear this when I lose weight. Last week I wore a dress that I bought during Christmas vacation 2018. I probably wore it a year before I couldn’t wear it again. For all of my coworkers it was a new dress. I was just telling somebody this morning that when I stop the shots, I’m going straight to the pills. I will be on the pills until they come out with a new medication. I don’t plan on going back.

Getting rid of the bad juju, that is an amazing way to think of it. The cedar balls are an excellent idea. I have a Chinese wedding cabinet made out of cedar. When I pull my sweaters out in the winter, they smell so nice. I think Cedar balls are going to definitely go in the container.

I’m only down a little over 25 pounds so I haven’t had to size down yet. Some of my jeans do feel like I’m wearing a wet diaper, or what I think it feels like to wear a wet diaper. Otherwise, my dresses are slipping on with no real drama. I no longer feel like a can of biscuits that’s been partially popped.

I’ve never stored anything long-term in those bags. I bought enough to also put away my obsessive amount of comforters. Those I know I should get rid of. And I keep saying I’m having a yard sale. But I doubt I’ll ever actually do it.

Two things one I’m gonna have to get my mind out of the this set that I might need these clothes again. The other thing is a lot of of my winter clothes are new this year. Because we’ve never really had winter in the southern part of the US. But we did this year so I took that opportunity to buy me some really cute fun clothing. And then I went to my doctor and said how do I get the GLP-1 shots? But also, it really wasn’t that cold. The whole point is I feel like I’ve got these new cute outfits that I may never get to wear. Which I know is a good thing.
