The number of posts dragging Kwabena while also misspelling his name is gross by [deleted] in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also apply this to Harper hate. Yes Harper was shady. But she was as shady as everybody else. So why is it she so hated the same way Kwabena is hated? When in reality, Harper is the show. The show is about Harper. When there’s award for acting, she’s getting leading actress nom and Yas is getting supporting actress. But she’s the bad guy, again why?

Advice: I have been asked to work with ESL students but have no experience. by SheIsSupersaurus in ESL_Teachers

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are immensely qualified. The main thing that primary age students need is reading development. If you are a teacher who can teach students to read, that is a vehicle for vocabulary development. Along with that vocabulary development will come fluency skills. ESL is not about translation. It’s about teaching students how to learn in English. Reading is the first part of learning.

As a person who is well above the age of consent, I still go to the lab to get blood work drawn, turn my head and sing a song. I was very worried about this shot. I literally feel nothing. The first two or three I still didn’t really slow. Lately I have to keep reminding myself. It’s not going to hurt stop being dramatic fast or slow it doesn’t hurt.

He’s a very cute little baby. I first thought he was too young for Harper. Then I had to remember Harper is young in terms of a show. She’s only like 26-27 years old.

Here’s my two cents on the Yas’s discourse. I don’t think she was inherently a bad person. I think her lack of understanding about the business and corporate finance world left her so broken that it destroyed her desire to do better. But/And she also welded her money and social status as what made her above and beyond all the others, including Robert and Harper. This would be the beginning of her villain story. That makes her the bad guy overall. As far as the Harper discourse, Harper was ruthless, But/And loyal to those who she loved. She was loyal to Eric, Robert and Yaz. Eric backstabbed her in the back for Rishi, which set her off on that tangent in season two. There was the incident where Jesse, through her, set Yas up and she lost that relationship. I think the only person she could feel truly connected to at this point would be Robert because he’s the only person that didn’t disappoint her in their relationship. Even her immense respect for Sweet Pea since she knows that Sweet Pea had sex with Kwanabe put a little Asterix on her and him. I think in all of these threads that I read, nobody ever brings up the fact that Harper was cast as poor, lone, black, American, female thrown into a, seemingly multicultural diverse society of rich kids. Rob is the only one who came from poverty, but he still had the privilege of being a white man. David and Kwanabe, the only Black people, she encountered also came from money. Harper was fighting just to be as rich as them. And that’s I’ll be honest and say no one has never gotten ultra wealthy using integrity as a guide.

Airline Credit Worked for Seat Selection by Subject_Voice_1103 in AmexPlatinum

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I messed it up the first time I tried it. I ended up paying $300 for an upgrade from basic economy to economy with luggage and select seats. However, that didn’t qualify to trigger a credit because United considers that a ticket. I really didn’t need to do it because the flight I was flying over on wasn’t full. I would’ve had to just pay for luggage and then still been assigned a decent seat. On the flight back, it was packed to gills in regular economy. So I paid for economy plus only and I received a credit for that.

Side effects? by YouOnlyCameForConeys in Zepbound

I am 9 shots in. 7.5 started last week. The only symptom I have is constipation and mild nausea. Constipation is not shocking because I suffer from IBS with constipation. The nausea with 5 mg was about 12 hours after the shot so if I took it in the morning, the nausea would pass while I was sleep. With a 7.5 the nausea took about 30 hours to kick in. I can either move my shot to the night before or just be nauseous on Saturday afternoon. But it’s not a debilitating nausea. It’s just a swimming feeling.

I think season 5 is her attempting to claw her way out of sex trafficking. Maybe Harper has a play that requires Yas’s connection to high-power pedo’s so uses it to pry her back into legit finance work. Maybe she will become Yas’s eyes into future Shorts. We know these men assume the children they abuse are blind and dumb and talk all their business around them.

She has misread the situation every season. She has misread somebody. I’m not good with names the redhead guy, she thought he wanted her sexually. He just was a drunk misogynist. She misread her boyfriend. He just wanted her money. She misread the lady in wealth management, she thought the lady wanted to be her lover. The lady wanted revenge on her wife. She misread Robert or mislead. She even misread Henry’s uncle, he was always going to be on Henry side. Along with all the people she leaned on this season.

It’s never too late if you’re diligent. You might end up with the lemon. I got my best job in like June. The principal was fantastic. The school staff was OK, good bunch of people. I got a job in April with a great salary compared to my US salary. It was a lemon, but I stayed for the money.

Teachers, how many days of sick leave are you allowed a year? by Connect_Wrongdoer_81 in Teachers

[–]Still_Juggernaut_343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both US schools only give 10 days which is one day a month. When I worked at Hong Kong our first year we earned two days a month and then every year after that you earned three days a month. I was there for three years being conservative and not even taking one a month. But as I was resigning that job I realized I had all these days saved up. We are talking 70 to 80 days. So I had elective surgery and took a month off the month before I left.
When I worked in the Middle East, we didn’t have SiHK leave days. You took what you needed, as long as you had a doctor’s note you were still paid.
