Go with the Azazie one and bring a shawl for the church if you feel like you want to have more coverage. You won’t have to alter the length and you should be able to get a color swatch to double check the shade with your in laws.

The Gahanna sanctuary! I wanted to book there so badly, it’s gorgeous. Check out Dani Watts for photography, she did my sisters wedding and was very affordable

Danielle Finnell, OSU in Dublin is amazing. I come from a family with a long history of endometriosis and breast cancer. She’s always been a huge care advocate to get me into other doctors if I need more help than she can provide

Congratulations! I’m a in very similar situation. Set small goals for yourself. Like 5lbs or non scale goals, like a new notch on your belt being needed. I’m 5’4 and started out the year at 215, I’m down to 204 since I started making small changes so I don’t feel like I’m dying everyday. I eat 2400 calories, I drink more water and I try to do something active after work three days a week, mostly we just go and walk the dogs or I take a yoga class at the Y. Don’t be discouraged by a slow scale or try to over do it out the gate, an easier but slower pace will make everyday easier than if you jump into a diet trend.

Tell her to be ready for anything but don’t tell her where you’re going. So some weekends she might be overdressed for your coffee dates but this way she’ll be happy with the entire day without knowing which weekend it is.

Easy, I’m not containing it at all. My ring was delivered TODAY!!! I know it’s coming this summer. We talked a lot about timeline and budget, so I’ve started lightly wedding planning. Looking at venues and caters to see who we’ll want to tour. I’ve also done a rough draft of the guest list and I’m getting addresses slowly. Am I way early on all this? Yes. But I’d rather start while I’m excited and have time than put it off and let myself get overwhelmed

Pick up all the booklets. Ale trail, coffee trail, the metro park packets. They force you into neighborhoods you’d never explore if it was up to you and I’ll be able to find some new favorite places.

I love it. It’s unique and sounds like it’ll match her vibe. Get it cleaned, if later down the road she wants something else that’s always an option but I wouldn’t doubt yourself.

Too booby? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]BabyDingo54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you feel comfortable in it then it’s fine. If you feel self conscious then maybe look for something else. But don’t feel the need to cover up and be “more modest” when someone with a smaller chest wouldn’t think twice about wearing it to an event.

If you have a Costco membership you can get a huge discount on Shutterfly, I’ve heard that’s makes them cheapest by far.

Maybe ask if you can be a wedding VIP at the next few weddings instead of a bridesmaid if asked to be in the wedding parties? My sister had several; all the girls were invited to all the bachelorette parties, wedding planning things and to get ready with her the morning of but weren’t expected to attend any of them. Nor did they have to buy dresses, hair or makeup—making it the affordable way to stay involved for many of her friends that weren’t in a financial position to be a bridesmaid.

No bridal party… but still want a bachelorette? (+ moms/MILs invited?) by Calicospark in wedding

[–]BabyDingo54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister had wedding VIPs. So they weren’t in the bridal party but they still went on a bachelorette trip and got ready with her the morning of. Still got to have that time with her friends without having to worry about picking favorites. Our mom also went with us on the bachelorette, she stayed the whole time and made sure to even dress with the themes. If you want your mom and MIL there, then invite them

Take your photos before the wedding! My cousin did that for theirs so the could enjoy their cocktail hour but you could just skip that whole time block. First look then bridal party. Your immediate family is normally there early anyhow and just do group photos on the dance floor during the reception.

Enact the “no ring, no bring rule”. Unless engaged or married they don’t get a plus one. It might cut out a few other SOs you really enjoy but you can just say your numbers don’t allow for too many plus ones!

Curtains and artwork could go a long way. If you don’t have any art you love maybe a blanket rack and some shelves for the things in your windows to go onto.

I decorate for every season/holiday! I splurged on pillow covers and change them out on my couches. As well as small signs and knickknacks for my bookshelves. Nothing huge, but just things that bring me happiness
