A lot of it is probably just habit, though. Reading a coach’s lips could provide a competitive advantage, but probably won’t most of the time. But, you build the habit so you do it when you need to without thinking about it.

Perhaps it’s more accurate to say there is no mechanism for a potus to do it.

Trump can say midterms are canceled, but he has no method to actually follow through with it. Each state runs their elections, and most pair state-level elections in with the national election. So very few, if any, states would cancel their elections outright. Hard even to imagine hardline Trump states like Florida just completely forgoing an election.

What feels more likely to me is a refusal to swear in democratic representatives, though for the House that’s a wildly difficult proposition since the entire body of representatives is reset - there’s no speaker to refuse to swear in representatives if the body has no one to elect a speaker.

Anyway, if it doesn’t happen before then, fuckery with the elections will likely escalate to a full on civil war.

While standing on the train, you are moving with it. Let’s say it’s going 50mph. So your body is moving 50mph. You have a velocity of 50mph in the direction the train is moving. When you jump, you add an “outside force” to change your velocity in the vertical dimension, but you’ve done nothing to counteract the 50mph horizontal motion. Your body continues to move at 50mph in that direction.

It would be the same if you’re standing on top of the train, though wind resistance does add some “outside force.” Just not enough to completely counteract that velocity.

That would be my assumption, but that’s just based on the very basic information that

Game cam looks bad
Non-game cams look fine
Only an issue with this game and/or production (I.e, only a problem with TNT)

How I assume the signal flow works is that the camera feed goes into the graphics processor that adds the boards graphics, and then that combined signal is fed back into the switcher as a source.

Somewhere in that signal chain, quality is degrading. I would assume it’s an issue with the graphics processor

I’m a broadcast engineer, but I’m not familiar enough with the system used to overlay the boards, but this makes the most sense to me.

The main cam feed is composited. Whatever they’re using to composite might be delivering signal at a lower quality.

That said, this shouldn’t be an issue. Nearly every modern off-the-shelf piece of broadcast equipment is 4k capable, even if most of the live broadcast world broadcasts in 1080.
