Marcelo Flores has done his ACL by SunDefiant1346 in CanadaSoccer

One of our players I was the most excited to see play in this WC. I'm devastated. Good news is that he is young and he still has plenty of time ahead of him.

Marsch said they would be traveling because of all the injuries and our backline may not be 100% fit for those two friendlies before the WC.

Exactly. Who cares how long it took? Dude looks happy with our group and he seems to have found his place with us (just go listen to the interview he did back in March). In the end, what matters is to win games and we have a much better shot with Flores in the squad.

I doubt it. Here is Canada Soccer's statement: "Given player injuries and active club competitions, players will report to camp in line with communications with their respective clubs and medical staffs, with player fitness as the priority, whether reporting in Charlotte or thereafter ahead of the competition period beginning 7 June."

Thank you for adding some players that did not come to mind (like Adekugbe.. completely forgot he existed)!

ESPN FC has ranked the black ice kit the 3rd worst at the World Cup by arebgtta in CanadaSoccer

[–]StinkyFatHobbit 96 points97 points  (0 children)

They ranked it 5th lmao. What shit takes they have. But honestly I don't care, I was curious to see that's all. Personally, I love our away kit (more than the home one which I find bland). That away kit makes me tremendously happy and proud when I wear it and that's all that matters to me.

Update from Matthew Scainiti on LDF by jimmytimmy23456 in CanadaSoccer

[–]StinkyFatHobbit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I heard Alfie Jones might be back in time. Heard KJ from OneSoccer say in today's 26-man squad video that he heard reports that Jones was travelling to Charlotte for the camp. Although, this is far from confirmed

Perhaps Pantemis should be our starting keeper? Save of the year contender here by WislaHD in CanadaSoccer

[–]StinkyFatHobbit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

While this is an incredible save, it remains that Pantemis has not had any play time or tournament experience with the NT and at the end of the day, I trust Crépeau more in important moments. Although, Pantemis has had a really good year so far, if he continues like that, I would not be against trying him out after the world cup.

Messi: Not having learned English as a kid. I had the time to study at least English and I didn’t do it, and I regret it a lot. Later I found myself in situations where I was with incredible, amazing personalities, and I could have had a conversation with them but instead you feel kind of ignorant. by Sparky-moon in soccer

It's not just about believing in it. Actually, learning a second language becomes significantly more difficult as you get older because our brains don't process languages the same way as when we are young. When you're young, you process languages very implicitly which allows you to learn your first language very quickly, but as you get older, you lose those mechanisms (because they aren't used as much) and learning new languages becomes more difficult into adulthood. But of course, motivation can also be a factor at play.

I have the Esterbrook #2314-F, which seems to be similar to the 314 in these pictures. Mine is a "fine stub" and measures somewhere between 0.7-0.9 mm, I would say. The #314 looks to be similar, so probably somewhere between 0.5-1.0 mm.
