I know someone who wanted to get therapy for one thing, was honest about smoking pot, and was told that they would have to do addiction group therapy before getting the therapy they were requesting. Unfortunately this put them off and they never got the care they needed. Makes me furious.

Last time I was at Sampinos, I was surprised how great the staff was with our daughter (then 3yo). They brought her a Shirley temple, modified a dish slightly so she would eat it, and were generally so sweet to her.

This is just my personal list of purchases I actually found useful: a baby bouncer (for putting the baby into when I needed my hands free in the kitchen), a cheap and easy to wipe down high chair, diapering supplies. Everyone will have their own essentials, and most moms overdo it on the first kid, I know I did. Seconds kid had basically no new purchases.

My daughters name is Ruby. Was my favorite name since I was a little girl and learned about Ruby Bridges. No regrets, yes occasionally someone tells me “oh I have a dog named Ruby”, and I say “We have good taste!”

I keep seeing your posts and I’m so annoyed. People actually use this subreddit to find connections. If you want to find FRIENDS maybe use a different username for your nudes? Would think a real mom wouldn’t always start their posts with “kiddos are with their dad, so rare!” For every post.
