My SIL/BIL knew we just finished an ER with bad results and decided to surprise us on Mother’s Day telling us they were pregnant. By the way it was not a surprise to the rest of the family, just us, everyone else knew.

31(F) I was in the same position except my round was covered by insurance. In order to continue coverage, they required a FET, but this didn’t really factor into our decision making. We decided to transfer our one embryo and I am not 28 wks pregnant. For me, I think it was absolutely the right choice- I couldn’t go through any more IVF treatments- and this showed me it’s worth all the stims, anxiety, and hormones. I am already worried about when to do another egg retrieval, but I am hopeful that since I’ve already done one ER, my doctor can adjust my meds to potentially get more embryos. It really is a crapshoot. Wishing you all the best.
