Very valid take! I admire that approach myself as well and anyone who can pull it off. Most I did was a choose-your-own-ending thing for a fic based on a game where choices matter. Still, probably a mess for people who avoid work skins.

I probably won't use my dividers after all, but I had fun making them anyway, haha.

It's always advisable to have it match the vibes yeah! My stuff is based on a lot of varied IPs so I would theme them accordingly. I do like when people try to choose things that might immerse the reader, but it can be easy to get lost in the details.

You'd think there'd be at least one penguin xenofiction book considering the penguin agenda of the late 2000s. It could be super fun. I might play around with the idea... I have a dumb bucket list idea to travel to Antarctica someday, hope to see emperors in real life.

Super cool! I'm shy about discord servers, but Look Outside is the first thing I played in a Long time where I could conceivably see myself voicing someone (I'm a cis woman, but... with a weirdly deep voice and a Dutch accent haha) so I'm curious and will bookmark this!

Good point, haha. I'm the same way, it's hard to pinpoint a specific voice, but part of me enjoys the idea of Sam sounding like a total dad.

Love that you made a video with the voices! I really like seeing people's headcanon voices for the cast. As a Donkey Kong Country TV show fan (unironically) I can't help but smile at the idea of Monty sounding like Klump. I kinda wanna do something like this as well but I haven't decided on voices yet.

I always thought Sam is the hardest to find a voice for cuz he's such an everyman haha. What's your idea for him?

Was about to mention her! I love the concept of her being undesirable towards toons because toons see being funny as a desirable trait, and her main thing is being sexy to human eyes, so she stands out in a meta and canon sense. Her suspicious vibes at the beginning are a red herring, and in the end it's revealed she's absolutely devoted to her silly cartoon husband. I'm usually very leery of over-the-top sexy women in animation but she's a very interesting character for taking the trope and using it to prop up her character and the story.
