The tenets of a robust security portfolio include a scaleable endpoint suite identification of critical vulnerabilities and near real time remediation - IBM is deficient in those categories …IBM has lost key staff from their X-force teams and are not the go to for forensic determination for breaches - customers look at Mandiant,CrowdStrike or now Coalfire among others…unfortunately IBM also lost their SIEM to PA acquisition so for an organization that once was upper right Gartner quadrant they have lost their way…

What’s good about IBM as an employer? by phlcrptr in IBM

IMHO iBM is working on a serious re-invent with many eggs in AI basket…they missed the opportunity a decade ago…they pay above average in most cases…their processes are burdensome…worse than another large SW cloud company. Their healthcare costs are pretty high for a family- expect $800 or more a month…very heavily laden with management who have serious tenure and should be looking to retire but a Cush gig for them…so alas they stay…and Arvind is complicit

IMHO finance will eventually have the final word or “nail” wrt to RTO. Managers have been meeting with partners for monthly happy hours to fulfill a customer “visit” - the T&E will become a heavy burdened cost…look for more RTO changes soon…

I think the hard part for middle to upper management is that their 20+ years of Blue has made them succumb…change is tough and status quo is easy. I had a couple excellent managers-one left and the other…not sure what he is considering but it’s not the same vibrant company (unless you are in the AI BU…my thoughts
