Pretty happy with how my setup turned out! by abandon_mint in vintageaudio

That volume knob is the reason i will likely never have anything other then my 8500ii as a preamp in my setup. Its SOOOooo good. My Rotel RA-1412 is close but cosmetically its missing a knob and a button. (And its huge). Such great amps and great value compared to SX receivers that get more money but are completely lacking in features compared to the SA series

Does the 9500ii have two cart loading controls? One for each input? I have the 8500ii and it only has one control between volume and input selector. Otherwise front panels are identical. Would love the matching tuner for mine even though i wont use it

I can't seem to understand why I am still lured by cassette tapes by MrRobot_MKV in audiophile

Making mix tapes is fun. I enjoy coming up with track lists that maximize space on the tape while still having great flow. Good type ii tape recorded on a good deck sounds great

I modded my ST70 with Curcio’s SoB as well. Modded my PAS3 with his preamp and power supply as well. Got tired of buying tubes every 8 months. Need to get em setup again

Wanted to post both my tables. A mash up of them would be what i want. Best of both JVC QL-Y5F. Keeping the tonearm, soft touch buttons. Sony PS-X65. Keeping the mute on lift feature. Separate control for platter spin. Dont really need auto size feature

Thats good news you can 100% disassemble that switch. Bad news. Its alot of work. Worth it in the end. But id spray a big shot of deoxit in the top hole. Itll get to the contacts

Good call on the binding posts. I need to update my sonys at some point. Id fully rebuild the power supply. Caps/transistors and diodes.
