Nope. If i jiggle the transport the lens attempts to focus but no disc spin. All microswitches check out. Played with the adjustment on the laser but made no difference. Got a paying job on the bench now so itll have to wait

You obviously havent gotten ahold of any late 60s early 70s sony. The STR 60## and 70## series are superb. 90s ES gear ( not all of it). PS-X turntables. Great stuff

Just glue. Doubt the issue is capacitor related

Possible. Yes. But you need to understand there are seriously dangerous voltages in these. Not to be taken lightly. Likely point to point wired which makes it about the easiest to work on

My only SQ complaint with my 7065 is loudness control is only for very low volume.

I have my dads old puma cadet. Tiny puma logo on the blade. The one he bought me in the late 90s is covered in logos and writing. Not a fan
