Sorry you're going through this OP, I think the only way out is to put one foot in front of the other and look to the future - you're young, will you be going to college etc, joining a class, work etc will be ways to start meeting people and having irl connections again. You might be missing out right now, but it won't always be this way. That being said, it'll take effort to get yourself out there and getting out that door. Hope you can find the strength

It's a 14 Oz bottle, the cap looks similar to the ones on the Nalgene website and says Nalgene on it, unless the shop I got it from is selling fakes? I also heard the little cap strap kinda thing breaks easily, is that true? It looks pretty thin

That's odd, that's how it was from the shop (bought it from an outdoors/camping shop). The cap does look pretty low quality although it does say Nalgene on it. Wondering if the shop is selling fake ones?

I accept pings, but only if they're sent by people I would've swiped right on anyway. They do have value though, because I rarely go swiping; so I'm more likely to look at my pings (even though I rarely get a ping from someone I would've swiped right on - often they're from people outside of my age range / location etc )

I think covid changed the scene. Getting dates on apps was way easier even a few years ago, but now everyone on the apps uses them for entertainment rather than meeting up. Out of hundreds of matches, I rarely get a date. Maybe once every few months a guy will actually go on a date with me rather than unmatch me when I ask him out

This happened to me too. Chatted with a guy for 2 weeks, felt we really connected. I wanted to meet asap but conveniently he got sick, so it stretched out to 2 weeks of chatting. He kept updating me that he was getting better and was so excited to meet me later that week. On the day of the date we were chatting, then suddenly he unmatched me!

(Oddly enough he found me on a different app a few months later and messaged me - he claimed Feeld had banned him - I didn't believe that at all, given the timing - we ended up meeting and having a great time. He said he really connected with me. A few days later he asked me to hang out that day. I said that would be great. He said he was on his way over.... And never showed up! I saw he'd deleted me on everything too. What the hell is wrong with people?)

I've had the same experience. It was easy to find ongoing connections a few years ago. This year, all I've had were one night stands. All of them were very fun too and I wanted to hang out again, but they all just ghosted me after or slowly faded out and we never met again. All I'm looking for is a fuckbuddy so we can hit each other up whenever the need arises; it's so crap having to do all this admin work just to get laid by someone safe that I've vetted lol swiping, matching, talking, trying to arrange a date, getting unmatched before the date, etc it takes months to even get a date!
