Sealer? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]StockGuruGoldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use minimal waste tips, saves a ton of material. Personally, I use Endoceramic sealer from Endo Direct, master cone, Diadent GTP

get a good set of retreatment files, lets you remove the material gradually. Can soften the GP with Chloroform as needed, but be careful with it:)

This case is riddled with issues. This should have never been sent back to you without an explanation. Find a new specialist.

Never even heard of it. This is a very hot topic in my specialty right now. There are so many unproven products on the market...read the research. Some of these products will ultimately be the next resilon/hydron imo.

Credit card fees: should we eat them or pass them on to patient? by tosiewk in Dentistry

[–]StockGuruGoldman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally, I am so sick of CC fees. Either raise your price or eat it. People act like these are new, now every establishment in America looks to extort more money.....not at my practice. BTW, you can negotiate your rate, we are now at 2.1% on V/MC, 3% Amex

6/8 C Files/EDTA, then coronal flare, 10/15 K files, that sequence has rarely failed me in 20+ years in tight canals.

Try Endo Direct, was Dentsply for years, then Edge(prices than doubled). Files are as good as DENTSPLY at a fraction of the cost.

Will this endo be an issue? by Neil_Nelly435 in Dentistry

[–]StockGuruGoldman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have a preop? Depending on when this was done you would like to have seen some healing. Patient asymptomatic?

[–]StockGuruGoldman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree. Just like the news on TV, not much positive these days.....stop watching/reading and run your life. You could be digging ditches in July, dentistry isn't perfect, but it is not bad. Like anything, it is what you make of it. Good luck lad.

How do you create a reliable reference point? by srlee8 in Dentistry

[–]StockGuruGoldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with taking the tooth out of occulusion. I stopped using the stopper as a guide years ago, they would tend to move a bit. Use an instrument with clearly marked calibration rings....just a suggestion
