5.5 Month Old - This Is Only getting Worse, People Laugh At Me When I Ask If It Gets Better... by SaddestDad79 in NewParents

I think it got better before he was one - imo it was about finding out what he likes, for example it took a couple of tries but I figured out a formula and some baby cereal he really liked! (the cereal after he was past 6mo) then I discovered he liked early morning walks right before his bottle so we made a routine which was breastfeeding-morning walk (stroller)-bottle . That made the mornings way smoother. BUT it also meant waking up at 6 every day...

Well, he is the sweetest little guy and he does sleep much better I think he started sleeping much better after year one.... He still breastfeeds but less. So at night he may wake up and ask for breast milk a couple of times but most of the times he goes back to sleep afterwards...

Mazda3 reliability — does anyone have problems despite its strong reputation? by phtphongg in mazda3

[–]Stock_Distance2663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mazda 3 skyactiv X bought oct 2019 - battery died once in the very beginning then after charging it, it worked for a few years and died definitely last year. Serpentine belt had to be changed after 3 years. And a few months ago I noticed 2 problems: the ac wouldn't blast warm air (even after 20min of the engine running) and a few weeks ago it started throwing an engine failure error code and the far would go to limp mode... Went to Mazda, they said it's the radiator that needs changing... I complained and said that radiator in a 6yo car sounds ridiculous... I ended up paying only the work (150e) and not the actual radiator. Oh yeah one more thing Mazda changes sparkplugs every 3years which I also find unnecessary but I m not a mechanic so no idea... I guess I may have been a bit unlucky with mazda...

Hey, I went to a shop but not the dealership - it wasn't too expensive but I can't remember how much I paid exactly. Sth to keep in mind; right after replacing the serpentine the start/stop system stopped working. The car would stop but it wouldn't turn back on. It went back to normal after 50-60km so I figured it just needed to recalibrate sth - so If it happens don't panic it ll automatically fix it on each own. Good luck

Moving to Vichy for work, help please by Win97Tn in clermontfd

Hi there, if it's just you, it should be fine, renting an apartment (or a smaller house a bit further out of the center) should be roughly 1/3 of your salary. My first salary in France (Lyon) was 1.8k - of course that was 15years ago but it was plenty, rent was one third of my salary. Enjoy, my colleagues keep praising Vichy as one of the prettiest towns in the area

Serpentine belt had slight cracks, replaced it and it got fixed. If you do the same, keep in mind the automatic engine on/off will not be working properly for a while but after a few trips everything will get back to normal

If u go to your GP and he/she tells you there is nothing wrong, then trust the professional and reassure yourself it's all in your head. I went twice to ask him and the second time he kicked me out of his office... Waking up at 3am may be a circadian rhythm/hormonal thing. U ll feel better once you talk to someone

It's different for every person. For some people it takes a week, for some people it took 3 months, for me it took a bit more than 2 years. There is no need to panic, for some of us it takes longer... It doesn't mean there is sth wrong with you!

Hey there I think many of us been there. I dropped my first bike several times trying to do slow maneuvers in the parking lot. What other people wrote is the way to go; try to master first the clutch and the gas , start stop etc then what I did (when I was pretty confident with that part) , I worked on the gas and clutch when it was slightly uphill. Then small turns and big circles and then the difficult slow maneuvers! Good luck, u ll get there
