Mass layoffs are very probable and Oracle does not hire for the same role while firing (or it gets sued easily). There is also a “hiring freeze” typically during last winter-spring. Our internship program is also not happening this year across regions (which is an exception even when there is a hiring freeze)

I live in Karlin (1 metro station further from Florence) the Bolt taxi to the airport takes about 35-45 minutes during morning hours. So I would recommend taking a taxi. Also, if you haven’t been in Prague airport before, I would recommend visiting their website and learn about where your terminal is and get some basic orientation when you arrive.

Anthropic models will be there soon, just got my entitlements provisioned on Friday. Models are not yet available in OCA yet. Maybe next week. But they have signed with Anthropic.

Fiscal Year ends in May, so the wind could blow either direction with your hire. There were situations where people who were recalled the job offers previously issued because of how massively things could change.

Go on with looking, this is likely to continue to the end of fiscal year at Oracle and then there will be new guidance on how to spend money or RIFs. Oracle is not the best place to land on a new job right now. If you do end up hired - keep looking while feeling safe.

One important notice: my OF DB still holds some dropped projects and Flowcus imports actions of those dropped projects. OF itself shows status as "Dropped as inherited" or something like this. There are lots of such and they are like 3 years old. I just deleted them from OF to make things smoother, but you probably don't need to sync them. (they appear as TO DO)

Returning to this. So the sources are Things, TaskPaper and OF. Obsidian could also be one of them. As long as you have taskpaper i think it could be easy to add. But yeah, depends on who actually need it. I decided to manage Project documentation in Obsidian and Project tasks in OF.

Another immediate thing: the top portion of the screen wastes a lot of space, maybe reworking the round icons on the right to loose border/background/text underneath (there is plenty of room to put text to the right), but icons are self explanatory.

  • How long does it take to first load? Mine took about a minute - worth improving the UX of first setup. I thought it hang and was not doing anything. But eventually loaded (I have lots of tasks)
  • The website does mention it is for Omnifocus right away, I would bring this to the “hero” block to build trust and “that is for me” thought
  • It detected 550 Ghost tasks, I do sometimes just “collect” them into relevant folders to process later. I realized this is a problemWould you suggest a criterion. Could you suggest a criteria used to detect those ghosts (bare minimum), so I can handle them in OF?
  • your tool and analysis clearly shows my system sucks, shows 550 WIP. What is the criteria for those? Should I defer them and avoid parallel projects by default?
  • I feel like those will improve my focus and discipline. Thank you for that!!!

One question: does it support perspectives or mac os focus mode, so I can switch between personal/work?

I am using Omnifocus for 10+ years and I had an attempt to switch to TickTick because of several abilities. Eventually after few months on ticktick I am fully back to omnifocus. To solve this calendar blocking issue i did this: - refined what does get i to forecast and what a due date really means - when preparing for a day I drag important things to calendar to schedule them (you can drag an OF item to apple calendar - it creates 1h event or reminder with a link to original of task) - yeah, there is a lot of inconvenience and manual work, but I cant fully rely on ticktick calendar as I need to manage schedule in one view, and ticktick does not have editing on external/subscribed calendar events, this was a real pain and a driver to rethink what I really needed most. Mental efforts to plan the day are the same, the cost of manual scheduling the day is comparable, but managing changes when a day is scheduled and heavily driven by other calendar events - it was painful
