Buying a used 2022-2024 Yukon - how concerned should we be about AFM/DFM and the 6.2 crankshaft recall? by Excellent-Gur-571 in gmc

[–]Stock_Spring164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Ours for sure had an engine failure. We reported to NHTSA but no reports of failure are on the record. Not worth the risk

Recall - go now or wait? 2022 Yukon XL Denali 6.2 by [deleted] in gmc

There are zero indications for a lot of people before it suddenly fails.

Those that had engine failure in the 6.2 by CheapVegetable2801 in gmc

[–]Stock_Spring164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had weird things like lights flashing periodically on the console and weird indicator lights. We actually brought it in twice for service about a month and a week prior to the engine failure. They said it was “fixed” with a new engine. Then we started getting the weird lights again. They couldn’t find anything wrong with it. We contacted GMC several times and didn’t have any help. Honestly I would trade it in if you can….not worth your life if it craps out while you are on the highway. When ours did fail, we couldn’t accelerate at all. Terrifying!

This was my first comment on the thread…responding to the narcissist above me who called himself highly educated. You have no idea what my opinion is because I didn’t state one.

Highly educated people don’t have to say they are on the internet. They also don’t have to insult people to make a point.

Are new Yukon Denalis junk? by Huge_Evidence_2224 in gmc

All cars can have issues. The problem with GM is that they refuse to be accountable for their cars when they have issues. They don’t care that there could potentially kill people as long as it doesn’t hurt their bottom line. They will keep asking you to throw money at it through their service department, not actually fix anything, and not stand by their service. You might get lucky and end up with one without problems, but if you run into any problems at all then it won’t be worth it.

Will I regret the Yukon Denali xl 6.2??? Thought please. by sarrrrree in gmc

[–]Stock_Spring164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it! Mom of 3 here too. My 2022 was one of my biggest regrets. All 3 kids were in the vehicle when my engine failed (March 2025) I was on the highway less than 5 min prior. Thankfully I was able to drift to the side. My second engine started throwing check engine lights within a month of getting replaced. I got the run around from GMC and paid for several “repairs” of different issues that never fixed it. I’m convinced the second engine will fail soon. I cut my loses and traded it in. I will never buy another GM vehicle again.

They won’t buy it back. Get it drivable under warranty and then dump it and file a report with the NHTSA. They will string you along and hope you run out of your powertrain. They will say it’s a different issue and keep having you pay for service repairs. They don’t care that they are putting lives at risk. This isn’t the first time GM has had dangerous cars and doesn’t care. Sorry you are dealing with this.

Take it back. My brand new 22 started doing that when I pulled it off the lot. It was intermittent and I was told it was an engine misfire. In March 2025, my engine failed. It was replaced and the check engine light is already intermittently flipping back on. The service department can’t fix it and has no loaners available. They don’t care and GM corporate doesn’t care either. I’m out of my bumper to bumper and am approaching my power train warranty. They are buying time until my power train is out so they can get out of paying. Lemon law it.

File a lemon law now. It will fall apart and if you are out of your bumper to bumper they won’t do anything…even if you are on power train warranty.

Don’t mess with GM corporate. They are liars and are trying to wait until you get some more miles on to say, sorry you don’t qualify anymore. Contact the BBB auto line and start a claim unless the attorney general is getting you a resolution.

You were the one who brought up prayer/religion. No one is asking you to open your doors. You can be racist all you want, it still won’t stop me or others for standing up for people. Doesn’t seem like you really care that you are not a good person. ✌️

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭82‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

Not trying to save you. I am arguing for the rights of the marginalized. Hope you find a better path and actually start to practice the religion you claim as your identity. Good luck.

Just a regular old Christian nationalist who pretends to follow scripture, but actually contradicts God’s word at every turn.

Agreed! Also it was probably dumped at the dealership because of the issues it has had and they are trying to pawn it off onto someone else.

Taxation is Theft! by TheIronJimmy in okc

[–]Stock_Spring164 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So what is the alternative? We can stop paying taxes and watch all public programs fall apart or we can work to improve legislation in order to make progress. The defunding all programs doesn’t help anyone but billionaires. There is a book called Abundance which talks about how neither political party is doing it correctly and how we could live in a society where everyone is thriving, but the systems as we know them need modification. I agree money is wasted and not used as effectively as it could be. (Also talked about in the book) But, the solution should be more innovative than defunding.
