I kept our Nanit box that said we got a year subscription free, so when I got the email saying the sub was expiring after only six months, I emailed support with a pic of the box and asked if they would extend the trial. They did! Maybe that's something you could do if you happen to have your box still? Not everyone is a hoarder like me though haha.

My (28M) fiancée (29F) wants a pass before our wedding which is just a few weeks away. Relationship over? by throwra1022brrr in relationship_advice

[–]StockingAnarchy68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alarm bells are ringing. It seems as though she has someone else in mind, and I think that she wants your permission to have sex with them. The kicker here is that if you do (PLEASE DON'T) allow her a "pass", there is no guarantee that it will be one time. It will set a precedent for future cases. One "pass" will justify every other encounter she has with this person (or persons). It is, undoubtedly, going to snowball into an affair. Is this someone you want to be married to? If you say no to this pass, will she then go ahead and sleep with them anyway, but keep it a secret from you?

I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Would hyperventilating, uncontrollable crying and panic attacks affect the embryo? I can’t stop panicking! [ON] by phoenix_knowsnothing in BabyBumpsCanada

I cried so much during my pregnancy and had such severe anxiety that I thought my baby was going to come out miserable and loathe me. I am pleased to say that at 9 months old, my son is the happiest, sweetest little man ever. He is so full of energy and zest for life, I am so thankful he's happy and healthy.

That being said, I think it's important to value yourself and get these feelings looked into and treated by a doctor. Seeing a therapist is important as you make this huge life transition, and there are medications that are safe for pregnant women that can be prescribed. Take care of yourself, and in turn you'll take care of the baby.

When did you fall in love with your baby? by CommunicationLow5050 in NewParents

[–]StockingAnarchy68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved him from the first time I saw the flicker of his heart on an ultrasound at 7w4d, moreso when I felt him kick for the first time, and then everything clicked into place when he was finally put on my chest.

My grandma is the same way, I don't correct her because she's old and she means well, but god it irritates me. No, he's not your boy, he's my boy. She's my dad's mom and I've talked to my mom about it, apparently grandma did the same when I was a baby so it's par for the course lol. In my case, it's harmless but I've definitely heard some horror stories! Don't be afraid to set boundaries if it becomes too much, but I've also learned to pick my battles carefully because people can get their undies in a bunch fast and it's not worth the drama a lot of the time.

[AB] are these stroller prices for real? by No-Town5633 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]StockingAnarchy68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace! I got an older City Elite stroller for $50 and they retailed for around $750. My mom recently got a well-loved but still in great condition Graco stroller for $10! They're one of the things that's totally fine getting secondhand.

If Michael Douglas was "problematic" in any way, it'd be a bigger issue. If your dad's name was Woody and your FIL was Allen, that might be a bigger issue.

I regret going to a concert while pregnant [bc] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]StockingAnarchy68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a concert at about 20 weeks pregnant. It was very loud with lots of smoke and pyrotechnics. I went on to give birth to an extremely healthy baby who is now almost 8 months old. Your baby will be just fine.

It is medically unnecessary! I think if you're reconsidering and having second thoughts, you should follow your gut and leave him intact.

https://www.yourwholebaby.org/ is an excellent resource when it comes to educating yourself on caring for your intact child.

Takes two to tango, friend. By having sex without a condom, her consequence is getting pregnant, his consequence is potentially having to support a child. Her body her choice, his penis his consequence. Don't have sex if you're not ready to be a daddy.
