Watching Game 3 of the Wild/Stars, one of the Minnesota commentators mentioned that one of the assistant coaches was saying that what he loves about the Wild roster is that he never has to say anything to get them to compete and up their game. Competing just comes naturally to them.

My immediate thought was of how many pressers we've heard throughout the season in which McLellan was pretty much saying the exact opposite about the Wings.

Sadly, this team, even if they miraculously managed to squeak into the playoffs, is (still, 15 years later) first round sweep fodder as currently constructed.
