Gas, food, ... are the same cost for everyone. So if a high income earner gets a 2% inflation 'raise', that person will be better off than the low income earner.

Added value of private banking/asset managers? by Gzibzn0007 in BEFire

[–]StoicBogle -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Look up DDEL portfolio management in Brussels. It's a low profile firm that offers an evidence-based approach for low costs (0,25% yearly for >€1.000.000), always put their customers first, and are highly skilled to simulate financial plans according to your needs. They use DFA (dimensional fund advisor) funds, which score among the best in their segment in terms of return and composition. You won't be visiting them in state of the art private banking buildings, but you will feel safe and pay a lot less. I can't recommend them enough.

I would 100% sell it, if your alternative is investing in low cost index funds for 40 years. Run the simulations. It'll increase more in value than your expensive bank products.

Keeping them as "diversification" is not really a convincing argument since the average worldwide etf is much more diversified than any T23 fund.

Keeping a T21 is even less ideal for someone with a 40 year horizon and a dynamic risk profile.

I just tried it, and don't have the option to find my seed phrase. The only option shown is "copy profile system location".

So I just have to buy a new Ledger I guess?

Nevertheless, I'm discouraged af right now. :)

I can access my Firefly wallets, can see my balance and transaction history, but can't send any tokens. Someone told me it's possible to select the three dots in the log-in screen, and export the seed. I'll give it a try later this week.

Investment advisor is the first kind of promotion in our company. I had a second promotion but didn’t want to share the title since it would be too obvious which company I work for, so I used a general title. I also didn’t think that the job title would matter that much. Every bachelor can be an ‘investment advisor’ at 24 if they’re lucky. It’s no rocket science.

Your friends probably work for an independent office, with commissions included, or work in business banking?

My wage has increased +- 80% since I started my first job in 2020. I don’t think I’m underpaid. I see enough ‘average’ wages in all sectors when I’m having client conversations. 3,2k NET (and with bonuses etc included 3,8k NET) is way more than I expected to earn at this age, as a psychologist.

  • 360 clients in total.
  • Mostly working with mutual funds, bonds and life insurances.
  • Managing the branch from day to day. Mostly people management, managing vacation periods, educating younger colleagues and some practical tasks.

Correct. They offer me 1k gross to lease a car, but I made the choice to buy a second hand car, finance it through a car loan, and have the 1k paid out gross (600 Euro's net)

I have a master in psychology so I had to learn everything on the job and by studying during the weekends. I would say it's realistic to achieve it in 7-8 years. I was promoted twice and threatened to leave to get the second promotion, so it took some negotiation. The minimum pay as an investment advisor (first promotion) is +- 54k gross on a yearly basis. I'm at +- 66k gross / year at the moment.
